    question for the knowledagble. I was contaced by a Local Saddle Club to do some names and event name on new saddle fenders. Now , do i case the fenders completly and not be too worried about the water staining ? thank you in advance.

    hello there. glad that you are amoung us, and get busy and start posting you work. Work Bench? i went to a used office supply and bought my very heavy desk, the top is 1-1/4" thick and it has all the drawers that i need for storage. You'll be much better off.

    I would sew the two pieces together , then you would 6-8oz and i would glue flesh to flesh you would have a slick side touching your clothes...

    I have used this type of closier before, what it is called is a Footmans Loop,it is rivited to the front of the bag then cut a slot for it to come thru the flap Weaver has them or check out Ohio Travel Bag.

    Lil Ray....got 2 out of three. cuts...skives.....and it has a welt roller on it, used for pressing the welt to the out sole.

    The hair on the deer hide will start comming out, also the hide is very thick you will have better results with hair on cow hide or calif...

    There is nothing worng with natural colored leather with a coat of warm neetsfoot oil or olive oil applyed and dryed in the sun. also Wickett & Craig sells pre dyed leather , check them out.

    Ohio Travel Bag will have what you need. Ps, the 104 are not double caped, you will have to order the caps for the 104 tube rivet seperate.

    Thanks Reaper.... it's hard to improve upon a fine item. i like making holsters for revolvers. a lot of leather craftsmen here are doing for semi-autos.....

    Yes i did use the burnisher that you made for me. Like i said the wood was the best i am guessing that is because of the oil in it. i did not burnish the straps just the edge of the holster.

    Taurus Judge, that is. Just an Old School style Holster that turned out well Dyed with saddle tan, little oil and finished with Bick 4.
