  1. Start at the bottom and work your way to the top one side at a time.......
  2. Those were some very sharp bends...I would have oiled it very well or used Latigo leather to make the leash.
  3. Mix some glycrin & achol 50-50 wash the skin in that, lay it out flat to dry ,then glue veg tan leather to the skin. you'll be fine.....

    You'll need to post the Length of Belt and also the Width. then how much tooling is to be done on the belt.

  6. Gunther...Hello there.....If you get the book "Making Holsters" by Al Stolhman your problem will be solved. I think there is a pattern for a 1911 in the book.

  14. What i do is to Cut one piece to the exact shape.....then glue that piece to a piece of leather then cut that piece to the shape of the first piece that you cut out.

  18. An answer to the P M that you sent to me......... you said that you were not too handy with computers. I am saying that your work is Very fine top quality leather work......dont worry about the computers, you make up for it with your Leather work.........
