NOT a Saddlesmith, but been there done that....I have used an AWL to pre form the Hole that the screw on the concho will go in. The best way to instal the concho is to have a "Concho Turner" i do know they can be bought at Proleptic.com. some one else might know of other places to purchase

The Bank where my wife works was having a silent auction this week and she asked me if i would donate some items from the shop. Of course i did. all 8 items sold and hope the Food Bank will benifit from the proceeds i helped to bring in...

Valuable Saddle ? i would replace the tree, i did. it is no good to anyone in it's present condition, after you replace the tree it would be of value. I M H O

From what i see he would have had to use a Very Wide swivel knife blade...or used a modeling point to enlarge the knife cuts....I M H O.. THAT IS SOME FINE WORK....
