I use 277 on top and 207 NYLON 0n the bottom when machine sewing. If i hand sew i use 8 cord heavely waxed linnen thread..

Trevor..........thank you so much for sharing this. i have been very P***ed , because i have not been able to find the size of Line 24 snaps that i needed at certain times. now i and a lot of other people won't get mad .... Just use the Rivett..

ED. Great looking Bag , that is a Great color what is the Leather you used? I like the New Handle, it looks as it would be very comfortable.

I like Leather Balm.....a nice mellow finish.

we called them "BULLETTS" BACK IN THE 50's & 60's, check out a JC WHITNEY'S CATAOLG YOU MIGHT FIND SOMETHING IN THERE.

i would asume he used it to do patch & repair work on thin leather. Some folks think the machine will do thick leather .... it wont.. They are good machines , but can be a little (cantankatrous)

way to go.. i want to make the items and let someone else do the paper work.

Davy thanks for getting back to me. So can i assume that the Last will be" larger" than the foot , as to when the shoe is built on the last there will be enough room in the shoe that the foot is not cramped for space ? Ok, now when i go to make the shoe i will measure the foot and then get the approiate last , one that will be larger than the foot? so, why would not the last be made larger to accomidate the size in the shoe that was made on the last?

and what is a 2" hub capish?

Tom in my shop i do use the buffing wheel a lot to refresh the edges of my tools that are supposed to be sharp. i will use the dark color, then the red. "works for me"
