I've only made him one and that was 8oz. leather with rivets. He lunges frequently on his leash and I'm afraid the rivets will come apart. He now wears a nylon heavy duty collar. I have a Tippmann now but haven't tried making a collar with it yet.

Ernie is too strong for my collars to withstand. For a little guy you wouldn't believe his strength! Corgi's life span is around 14ish. He's a wild man! I didn't know veg tan was bad...he likes his rawhide the best anyway.

Awe, she looks sweet...she just loves your leatherwork! Give her some of her own scraps of leather. I do that for my dog Ernie.

It sits in a box and yes it's exposed. No photo. This was a prototype. -
Battery Box Cover Side Bag For My H-D Fat Bob

That's cool! We want to see it on the bike. Here's my version of a battery bra. It's one piece of leather and a snap... so no sewing. Some lace around the outside edge. It sits in a box. Very easy to do. -
I would think that the spiral blade would really tear up the leather edges or make them fuzzy...the comment about a band saw sounds better in that the blade is going in a downward direction only.

Usually there's still enough moisture to mold without wetting again. If not just use enough around the edge to make it form. If you're worried about water stains apply it on the bottom of the leather.

Yup, I think a few that had accepted the challenge have dropped the ball! I guess there's July...

As far as I know everyone tools on the leather flat and molds after. I mold after tooling and I form it over the shaped seat foam. It makes for a perfect fit! Good Luck

Has anyone else been having trouble using the website for Wicket and Craig? Here is what comes up on my computer: This web page at www.wickett-craig.com has been reported as an attack page and has been blocked based on your security preferences. Curious if I should override and go ahead and use the site?

I see the wooden mold but how are you getting the foam shaped exactly to accept the leather? I would think it would be hard...unless this is applied directly to the pan. Nice job though!
