  1. I agree with Mike, you need to cover the case with your own leather work! Cool case!
  2. Did it eventually lighten up as time went on?
  3. $350 This was a past customer. He's building another bike.
  4. Very cool! I really like that extra flap on the lower back!
  5. Nice work! You're getting the hang of it!
  6. Posted this seat after the swap meet and now it's sold! Also if I didn't have enough on my plate, here is what else I've been working on for my son and daughter in law. Oak corner cabinet with custom hand punched metal panels. Finally done tonight and on to my new sewing machine and other items to start making.
  7. Billy we were asked to be at this swap meet and the booth was paid for us to get us there which was great! The thing I noticed most is it's definitely for people on a tight budget wanting to have a bike. Most were scrounging for parts and the kids and moms were buying the trinket stuff. The negative for the day is it was raining off and on so the bike show didn't have but 4 entered. Wow, $1500 for a 10x10.That sounds like a trade show cost. I've been to the Easy Rider trade show in Cincinnati. I wouldn't even think of doing one. I do agree about the plain seats. You can't please everyone and most want their own logo or design. I'm sure if I had known what bike club members were going to be there I could have sold them their logo seat in a heart beat. For the most part, there was a handful of people that were serious about making their bike their own special ride. Those were the people that I think I'll get a call from. If I do this again, I will make the appropriate changes. The banners I got were from Staples and yes they're like business cards. Not too pricey since I got 50% off for all three. People at least knew we were serious about our product. We were the only ones there with banners and table covers.
  8. You are excellent at the small detailing...jealous! I know he'll love them!
  9. I sold 1 seat and a few side items. If I had went down on price of another one I could have sold it too. If I had my sewing machine up and running I think I could have sold several wallets or key fobs. No one there had any leather specialty items. There was one booth that had the trinket key fobs and cheap rings which didn't sell too many. I had a great day for business card pick-ups and a handful of people very interested in a custom seat. So I believe I could get a few calls for seats. Very relaxing day and very friendly people. I'LL BE READY FOR THE NEXT ONE.
  10. Truck is loaded up...just a few last minute list of items to take. Here are the banners we had made from Staples. Man, this is like moving!!
  11. Beautiful! You do great work!
  12. Matt, sorry to hear you have it that bad over there. I wouldn't be surprised if we see things really turn for the worse here. Enjoy that beer!
  13. I pm'd you Bison. I'm interested. Thanks
  14. Next time if there's no tooling on the spine you could slightly dampen it and then mold it before the dye process Bending leather dry tends to do this.
  15. Nice sheath for nice knife!
  16. Well that's not very good news...I'm sharpening my pencil now! Indiana is planning on lowering the state income tax. If they lower it from 3.4 to 3.06 that is a savings of $170 on $50,000 of income per year and they call that a 10% decrease in taxes. But they are looking at raising property taxes by 1-2% per $100.00 of assessed value and adding more gas tax. Plus we pay 7% sales tax so the bottom line is we will paying more than the $170 to get the $170. Has society got so blind that they think this is a good deal? "Smoke and Mirrors"
