  4. Leon, These two were the first ones that I made. Mine (the lighter one) had the top too loose so I sewed another stitch line in and made it tighter. I dropped it on the trail riding this weekend and it never came off so I guess it's tight enough now. I plan on making some more. Art
  5. I use brass loop staples from Weaver. I don't know if they are available anywhere else but I'm sure that they are. You could also use a heavy duty stapler to staple the ends together. Art

  7. A friend of mine re-did his counters and I got a piece from him and cut it then put it in my bench. Art
  8. You can handle it just like a metal keeper. Just make your leather loop and put it between the layers and between the screws. I use staples to keep my loops together most of the time but you can also sew them. Here are some pictures with a metal loop. Art

  15. Thanks yawl. Yes it is tied to the frame at the front and the back with leather through the holes. I teased my brother in law that I had glued it on. LOL scared him to death. Here is a shot of the back side. I glued suede leather on the back side. So far it's worked out well. Art
