Wow Bobocat! Amazing. I looked at it very closely and no flaws! I could never do any tooling that cleanly. Maybe in 20 years when I'm in the retirement home if my hands don't shake too bad. Of course, by then, I won't be able to see it if I do make a flaw. ArtS

That really looks good Alex. I could tell that was hand stitching right away because it was so cleanly done. Cool design and great color too. ArtS

I bought mine a while back and boy was I surprised how clear the picture is. I also now get some extra channels! Great deal for a one time cost of $20. Especially seeing how little TV I get to watch. ArtS

Looks great. I have to get around to making a new belt for myself. ArtS

The base for my workbench are two old oak bank desks. Probably from the 1950s. They bug and wide but most of all solid. I have a 3/4" plywood layer on top of that and then a thin (about 1/4) layer of that press board (what they make put holes in for pegboards). I cut the insert for my granite out of the press board and plywood. ArtS

Thanks. I see one thing I was doing wrong right off - I was drilling too fast. I was cooling with water but I'll get some cooling oil or fluid. The $60-$200 are too steep for me but I'm going to go get a cobalt bit. I only need the one size for the snap shaft to fit through. I found a Fastenal near me. Thanks again everyone. Art

Thanks just doesn't seem to be enough to say for all that you folks do. Thanks! ArtS

If you figure out a way to swivel it let me know! Good idea. Someone else suggested a double rig. Maybe instead of bullets it should be shot glasses!Of course yours will have to be in black patten leather. ArtSOr a bandoleer with Slim Jims! Now this is a constructive discussion!ArtS

My son saw a picture of a beer holster that I had saved off the net and asked if I'd make him one. Here is a quickie I made him this weekend. Instead of just the holster I also made the belt with inert bullets. The holster can also just be used with a regular belt. It snaps together to make the belt loop. ArtS

Thanks everyone. I'll call around tomorrow to find a cobalt bit. Thanks! ArtS

I put a piece of stainless steel between the layers of leather in some of my holsters. The problem that I have is drilling a hole through it. It's a thin piece of strapping, maybe 1/16 inch thick. I just wear out drills. There must be something I'm doing wrong. I dip it in water every so often to keep it cool. I need some advice please. Help please. ArtS

I'm just curious how well the leatherwork comes out. ArtS

Bruce told me how to make oval punches and maybe you could do this for the rectangle ones too. I just heated up some tube punches then hammered them flat on two sides. I bought a 9 piece set for about $6 at Harbor Freight. ArtS

Wow, expensive. Thanks, ArtS

Where did you get those? Thanks, ArtS

Why did you go to the mallet type? I don't have a clicker - yet, otherwise I might be interested. I'll probably buy a mallet set one day. Where did you get the Douglas cutters and are they expensive? Thanks, ArtS
