Wow. Nice! You need a 10 people to move it. LOL ArtS
  10. They look really good Tom. Do you also have to glue the coin in place or does the leather hold it in well enough? ArtS
  11. Duh, I guess I sounded stupid. I was thinking stirrups not stirrup leathers. Gee, now the post makes more sense to me. Sorry, ArtS
  12. Thats what I also do. I use tubes from gift wrap for the thinner/smaller leathers. I wire wrapped two shelves together to make one wide shelf and that's where I store mine. I'm really tight on space so there isn't a whole lot of options for me. Laying them out would not be possible.ArtS You caught me. LOLArtS
  13. I've never done any half leathers. Is there an advantage or practical reason for them or is it just for looks? The closest that I've come to them is covering a set of E-Z Ride stirrups. ArtS
  14. You'll be amazed how much there is to choose for minature tack. Go to this site. http://www.riorondo.com/info/index.htmlThere is almost more of a choice than for full size saddles!ArtS Beautiful job. It must really be hard to work with something so small and yet make it look so real.ArtS
  15. Thanks. I have to thank Artisan for the even stitching. That is machine sewn. These are E-Z Ride metal stirrups. This is the first time that I covered the bolt head. I thinned down the leather then formed it around the bolt and put a rubber band around it to keep it tight. I let it dry, then cut that part of the leather off. I dyed it and glued it on. It will be interesting to see if it stays on over the long haul. These stirrups are easy to cover. I also did a pair to match my wife's saddle. I just made a pattern, tooled it, sewed it together, finished it and then slipped them on with some glue. ArtS
