  1. Looking for a pattern (or patterns) for a three-legged stool. Would like to find a pattern that includes the layout and sources for quality wood legs and hardware.

Rayban: I do have one of those, however, it won't be available for a couple of months. I'll post a new thread in the for sale section when that one and some others are available. Also I recently posted a list of the ones that were currently available. Those are all sold now.
  3. The rest are sold. Thanks for everyone's interest.
  4. SIG P232 and SIG P239 are sold.

Are you looking for anything in particular? I've got some available - SIGS, XD's, Beretta.
  8. Here's pics of my set up: Runs at 3600 rpms.
  9. I've had my own made up. I'll post some pics a little later. I took a grinder, stripped it of the pertinent pieces so I was left with the shaft on either side. Mounted two set ups that closely mirror Weaver's #9 and the burnishing wood piece on their larger set up. Made a couple of mods with respect to width and depth. Burnishers are made from stainless. Total cost was approximately $250. Runs as quiet as a mouse.
  10. John: You're welcome to come down and take a tour on my Artisan Toro 3000. If you are who I think you are, I know we've talked briefly on the phone. Give me a call at our shop, 813.659.3456, if you'd like to come by.
  11. Take a look at the ones Purdy Gear does: http://www.purdygear.com/shoulderRigs.html. An excellent rendition and quality that exceeds many. BTW, she's also an Al Stohlman award winner....
  12. Depends on one's perspective. I've seen a lot of people spend $100+ on a holster I wouldn't give you $30 for. There's some patterns in that package that would be of benefit to me.
  13. If Ferg/50 Years Leather doesn't want it, I'll take it.
  14. I'd be interested in a few pieces as well if you want to sell some. I'm just over in the Tampa area. I'd also suggest smoothing/slicking the edges a bit on the strips in order to preclude any issues with the sharp edges after the cut.
  15. Springfield Leather has a pattern pack that includes holsters for the XD: http://springfieldleather.com/store/product/23132/Pattern-Pack%2CHolster%2C5styles/. However, the last time I looked at that pattern pack, the sizing of the holster pattern(s) were too small for almost every gun advertised. So you'd have to adjust accordingly. It would at least give you a starting point.
  16. Man, that's some dang high prices in comparison to other vendors. That guy's prices are more than double in price for a frog skin you can get at Van Amburg.
  17. Actually there is another company in the Houston area (main site is in Europe) which developed this long before Garrett Industries did. They did it back in 2003: http://www.gunblast.com/SHOT_2003_2.htm (scroll down the page). It was my understanding that the glue being used by Garrett is the same glue used by plumbers on the pvc pipes.
  18. Enjoyed the visit as well. Glad I could show you my backyard redneck holstermaker shop.
  19. The Kydex Basics dvd is sold.
  20. I've got the 1863 Civil War Holster pattern if you want it. The price would be $12.50/shipped. Send me an email if you want it.
  21. Thanks. I use 1" gum rubber on top/bottom and crank it down.
  22. Joe: I'd be willing to do some trading with you. I've got a wide variety of books, along with a variety of other stuff. I'm just down the road from you in Plant City. Give me a call at our shop - 813.659.3456. Kevin
  23. In comparison of my use of Angelus acrylic #600, I've never had the cracking/peeling or discoloration. I stand behind my comment that mop & glow is a very poor substitute for a finish on a holster, regardless of how it's applied. But my being a back yard, redneck holster maker, what do I know?
  24. My personal experience is that Mop & Glow will discolor and crack - even when split/cut with water. It's a very poor substitute for a finish on a holster.
  25. The following dvd/vhs tapes are still available: Chaps by Dusty Johnson, VHS format - $10 Chaps by Dusty Johnson, DVD format - $15 Kydex Basics, DVD format - $15 Feel free to contact me if you have any questions.
