  1. Yes, it is sold. Thanks for your interest.
  2. Springfield XD45 is sold.
  3. Sorry, that one is long gone. All of the guns shown in this list have been sold.
  4. The SIG P229 (w/o rail) is sold, pending receipt of funds. ADD: Beretta PX4 Subcompact (Duncan) SIG P250 Subcompact (Duncan)
  5. Dave is referring to Duncan Customs. Their number is 989-894-6691, and they're located in Michigan. When you call, ask for the dummy gun section and most likely you'll talk with Luke. He'll be able to help you get what you need.
  6. I recently ordered a back of the drum-dyed black from RJF and got it yesterday. I wanted to try some for belts and potentially holsters. I won't be ordering from them in the future. Approximately 50% of the piece was covered with fat rolls, and they were at both ends. While some fat rolls are smooth and have no impact on a piece, the greater majority of these were deeper and clearly evident. In short, those portions are dead weight and useless for anything I make. So I've got about 10 sq ft of this piece that I'd sell to anyone who wants it for $50 shipped. It's 5/6 oz in thickness. Like Johanna, I'd strongly suggest you express your expectations to them so there's no misunderstanding or disappointment in what you receive. Good luck.
  7. Waylayer: Where in FL are you? I'm just east of Tampa, actually between Tampa and Orlando. You're welcome to come by my shop and I can show you some things. I'd be interested in seeing your quiver pattern. I would stay away from Feibings tan-kote and super shene. They really leave a poor and inadequate finish for items primarily used outdoors. My experience has also shown that mop and glow cracks and peels. I'd suggest the Angelus acrylic finish. That's what I use on the archery products (actually all of my products) I make and I've never had an issue with it causing a darkening of the dye.
  8. Kel-Tec P32 and Walther PPK/S are sold. The following guns are still available: Bersa Thunder .380 (Duncan) Taurus PT140 w/o rail (Duncan) Para Ordnance Warthog (Duncan) SIG P230/232 (Duncan) H&K P2000SK (Duncan) Springfield XD 45 (Ring's) Springfield Operator .45 - C&L (Ring's) SIG P226 w/o rail (Ring's) SIG P229 w/o rail (Ring's)
  9. Depends on how you fashion your holster(s). In the fashion that we do, i.e., detailed fit and molding, it would not. If you do something less than that, it would probably work for you.
  10. I'd recommend the Cobra Class 3. I have two of the Artisan Toro 3000's (essentially the same machine) and that style of machine does everything I need - from thin to thick. I see that you're in central FL. I'm just outside of Tampa. You're welcome to come by my shop and check out my machines, if you'd like. Give me a call at our shop - www.kdholsters.com - or send me an email - kevin ((AT)) kdholsters .... com.
  11. That's some awesome work, man. I always prefer to use the mexican round whenever I do any lacing. Just always lays better and fills in better IMO.
  12. Have the knife in the picture below for sale. It has a damascus steel blade. Handle/grip is stabilized giraffe bone. Has file work along the upper tang, right about where you'd place your thumb. Also has a hole in the center of the blade where you would rest your finger. Overall length is 6 1/2"; point to point on the blade is 4". I've only used this knife a couple of times. Works great. I have another one now that I just like better. Price is pretty firm at $150 + $8/shipping. Can accept money order, Paypal, or cash for payment. Feel free to contact me if you have any questions. You can most easily reach me at the shop - 813-659-3456 or by email at Kevin ((AT)) kdholsters ... com. Thanks for your interest.
  13. H&K USP Compact is sold.
  14. My experience has been that single-layer belts will sag - sooner rather than later. In addition, a test for me is if I can pinch the top and bottom edge of the belt over with my fingers. I've been able to do that in every instance with a single-layer belt. Have not been able to do it with a double-layer belt that is made with 6/7 oz leather, or similar. When a belt that is carrying a gun starts to sag, it shifts the weight to the side the holster/gun is on. You most often have the barrel of gun/holster poking into the body, and the shift of the weight pulls the belt into the side of the body on the opposite side. It creates a great deal of discomfort. What I believe Madmax22 is referring to is a contour-cut belt. These belts are most often cut for/used by women. The top edge of the belt is shorter in circumference than the bottom edge. This essentially causes the belt to flair out when worn, and more closely follows the line of a woman's hips. A straight cut belt on a flaired hip causes discomfort on the hips because it's pushing directly down into the hip. You add in the weight of the gun and it compounds the fact. Edit to add: In addition, when the lady attempts to tighten the belt, because the top edge of a straight-cut belt is sticking out from the body, that creates a great deal of tension along the bottom edge of the belt. That tension is forcing itself into the woman's hips. This, in turn, creates discomfort.
  15. The following guns have sold: Glock 19 4" 1911 w/rail - C&L
  16. The following guns have sold: Beretta PX4 Storm H&K P2000 Springfield XD Subcompact
  17. I'll pass on the comparison thread. The main body of the holster is H.O. split to 7 oz, the layover piece is H.O. split to 4 oz.
  18. For the most part, it just takes practice. I use warm water to get the holster wet, put it in a press, and then use a ruler, bone folder, and modeling spoon to highlight the lines of the frame of the gun. This is an M&P Compact:
  19. I am thinning out my stock of duplicate dummy guns. This is a new, updated list with new prices. This list supercedes all previous lists. The price is $30 per gun + $8/shipping. I've had the opportunity to use both the 7-ton and 15-ton. I would rate the 7-ton as a 4: struggled to cut through 6/7 oz leather. Easier to move around than the 15-ton. I would rate the 15-ton as a 9: has cut through anything I've put under it. Very difficult to move around - ended up using an engine lift on each occasion.
  22. I'd be interested in such a tool. Give me a shout if you want to talk about tooling. I have access to a couple of people who are machinists who can do lathe work, water jet, and cnc work.
  23. Dan: I used a piece of 6 oz leather and laid the stingray on top; glued and stitched the two together.
  24. I suspect you saw the discussion on the 1911forum where someone expressed an interest in having a Ranger style belt for conceal carry. Here's a pic of one we did a couple of years ago. Has stingray on the billets. The buckle was provided by the customer.
  25. The belt slides through the slit from behind and goes across the front. The tension of the belt directly on the sheath is what keeps it in place.
