  1. It happens I love when I get it on the side of my hand or thumb and then proceed to blot glue all over the project and tools and bench... I think there is a thread titled "spaz with glue" somewhere on here
  2. I think we may need some photos to fully share the joy. Congrats on baby and tools!!
  3. Lucky duck Thanks for showing

This is the first thing I ever made out of leather Used a HUGE swivel blade
  8. Mom always said if you don't have anything nice to say..... Not good use of your energy hacking on others
  9. Score!!!
  10. Hello and welcome, eh
  11. Would have to do it on a drill press with a depth lock on it for consistent depth and to be at perfect right angle to the leather
  12. Found another couple pics from different angle http://www.fashionfoiegras.com/2011/11/celebs-love-coachs-bleecker-legacy-tote.html http://www.coach.com/online/handbags/Product-bleecker_weekend_tote_in_harness_leather-10551-10051-70983-en?cs=b4a9s&catId=5000000000000307310
  13. Never thought of that , Great idea You could use a circle punch and make some pigskin circles to cement on the back to cover if you leave the snaps flush Or some veg tan plugs if you recess them like suggested above
  14. There are sources of Tiger thread on Etsy I like this guy from Alberta Canada, he has an assortment of colors https://www.etsy.com...f=fb2_tnx_title
  15. Thanks I really do appreciate the kind words. When I look, I aIlways think I could do things better, keep trying to push my hobby skills farther, never really happy with results. I cringe at the stitching misaligns I re-made that white side as it got dirty the first time and did three closure straps until I liked the width and thickness. One day I will make something I am happy with
  16. Thanks Bob, I appreciate that
  17. That stuff did a great job, nice work! Funny how good that classicly styled jacket looks today
  18. Good for you on the exposure.....your work deserves it!
  19. Timely thread, used super77 to glue down the fabric cover on the insole of my son's dress shoes....it was pulling up after just a few uses. Nice to be able to fix stuff and get it back to useful.
  20. Stamping is ok but you can't tool into it like veg tanned leather. Same applies to all chrome tanned leathers Can't case it, can't tool it.
  21. So this is how it turned out. Thanks to all who helped out with this. My son loves it and as I overheard him telling his mom "dad will tell me all the things wrong with this, but it's awesome" I do see lots I could improve on, but it is one of a kind and his now.
  22. Second that request on photos of fabrication
