  1. Thanks alot! Anyway sounds much less scary than I thought before.
  2. Thansk, Wizcraft. This is something interesting - I thought that Cowboy is much much bigger.
  3. Thanks for reply, Bruce. I actually have tried overstitcher and it looks like.... well.... like just set of pinholes inside a groove. Not like a stitch.
  4. Hi guys, Can you please point to any stamp what appears to simulate a hand stitching line if such stamp(s) exist? Thanks in advance!
  5. Just run into this on Youtube. All the respects and credits to the author.
  6. Ah, I see now Anyway thanks for that info about 2 sorts of the same stamps available.
  7. Hi Kevin. Thanks for letting know. Can you please post pictures of both (if possible) - standard and grooved ones?
  8. Thanks for this info, Wizcrafts. I'll continue my investigations. Actually I'm looking mostly not into "portable" versions in means I could take it with myself going to somethere, but more just into compact size solution. So it won't be harmful for me if lets say that sort of machine will have 2 tons weight and made of gunmetal and hicarbon steel. If having that it takes just about 2 sq feet of surface to be deployed onto - it satisfies me perfectly. So I'm more about space consuming rather than its portability. Of course if that system will have both compactness and portability it would be great, but as I have got from your investigations done it won't going to happen.
  9. If you mind buying embosing machine for some hundred bucks.... Then you could get over it with exactly stuff you have mentioned. I just usually use ruler like that, just made it myself putting sort of cork strip about 3 mm thick on the back of simple stainless steel ruler from the toolshop. If your strap too narrow to put ruler onto, then you can put a piece of leather of teh same thickness next to strap side by side and give ruler partially lie on that leather piece. Works for me. BTW For something more interesting than just pin strip you can go for something like these.
  10. Thanks for your opinions, guys. All these are very valuable. I'll have a look at all you suggested - either used Boss as starter or something from the Jimbob's list.
  11. Niiice!

  16. Hi folks, Just wandering if you can recommend me any of compact sewing machine available on the market? I need very ocasionally sew 2 layers belts (8-10 oz), dog collars, wristbands, may be bags.... It is not necessary have to be electric (and actually I'm sure if such exists it is hand operated). I don't have much space to setup anything like heavy duty industrial stuff with the stands etc..... So far I know the only one can be called "compact" in my understanding - Tippmann Boss. It would be perfect but price.... So please suggest me on the subject. Thanks in advance!
  17. Sounds like we were on the same page that nigh except elephant lost somethere on the way to me Yep, I dumped it but very slightly as thought as Eco-flo is water based there is no much need for dampening. And yes, seem you right about ecoflo drying - you need wait faaar longer than with Fiebings to se the final color you'll get...
  18. Thanks, Ben! Thats a great sheet.! Well, I dyed these today. Don't finished , still drying now.

  20. Cheryl, Keep your head safe and try to google for "molding" or "making a mold". Molding leather has nothing different from the other materials molding processes (different sorts of plastic, metal (mostly ref as "stamping" there), fiberglass+epoxy fabrication (and other composite materials) in boat and military industry etc etc). Thanks! I definitely have to give it a try.
  21. Great job, Kevin! And nice color. On the photo flap appears like made from wood , I really like that. How did you get such texture?
