  1. actually... I meant glue here might be usefull not for only temporarily fixing 2 pieces befor elacing but also for helping to reduce a stress on lacing slits.... and in some particular cases it also assure seams are waterproof.... I guess you know
  2. I'd rather start over a part of lacing. I would unlace about 40-50 cm from the zip lock point, cut off the lace as Aaron suggested, then glue this unlaced pieces together keeping them flat, next punch new slits all way through using existed as much as you can and finally lace everything back.
  3. Going to be cool! Just my 2c: it might look a bit different in the original size than this scaled down piece, as you can't scale basketweave and border cams. Or can you?
  4. Then I tried just a normal paper, I either always accidently cut it through with stylus or it gets damp from the leather's moisture (and actually finally rips under stulus point anyway) .
  5. Have you tried to spray not onto but UNDER the scales? I don't know much about a python, but for cobra I have once worked with, I got over same problems somehow. I believe cobra has smaller scales but anyway... What I did: I have put skin on the desk up side down, roll one end "up side up" so scales raised and sprayed enamel under them. I rolled whole the skin by pulling that end and sprayed under the scales until it became wrong side down on the desk. Pressed scales a bit . Let skin sit there then paint 2 tandy's supershene on top.
  6. Yep, me too! I feel I can do the same after 3248th wallet with the same pattern.... or may be after 3249th, I'm not sure
  7. Yep, you most likely right. As for myself I would escape for fishing after 30th (not 300th) times of such exercise
  8. Hi Luke, These are cool, I believe I have them seen already somethere in another thread. I am very impressed the way you worked up the top and sole connection's seam - so neat and stylish for that sort of mocs.
  9. Or even easier - one needle half way in, second needle half way in, then use both threads to push needles a bit futher, then pickup each needle on the other side. no chance to stuck thread.
  10. You shouldn't go gardening, he has pattern transferred on the leather for sure, you can see it in some of movies
  11. Nice job! Want to join Paul on question about rubber paste: How well it adheres and keeps on the sole? Is it enough for using such mocs outdoor on kind a roughsurfaces like concrete, asphalt etc ?

  13. Yes, they are. But it is not so terrible as I have holes done in dia smaller than strand and used round braid (went through each hole twice). Anyway tehse mocs for indoor
  14. Thanks, Paul! Seam is not lined, I found no way to do it well. So I just lined the whole outer piece then assembled mocs.
  15. Great wallet! Great job!
