  1. Thanks a lot Bill. I will enjoy it. I have only had a chance to admire it on my bench. I can hardly wait to get it to the range.
  2. Thanks, Benlilly and Steve. I'm really happy with how it turned out... and it works well too. Thanks again.
  3. Forgive me. I still haven't figured out how to post more images on a thread that is already going. So, (sorry) I'm gonna make another. Here is the whole thing. Two different holsters, mag pouches, and a drop and holster for my wheel gun. I thought that there is no need to make two different belts just to get the effect you want. The drop simulates a buscadero type hang for my revolver. I don't know if anyone else has done this... Am I the first??? Thanks for looking enjoy. Pic 1, is the belt Pic 2, is the set up for my S&W Sigma (yes I own one, and I LOVE it). Pic 3, is the set up for my S&W 686, with a belt slider "SASS drop". Gun slinger style. Murray
  4. Thanks Bob.... and I am. I am very pleased with how it turned out. I am in the process of making a drop for my revolver. I'll post it when its done. Thanks again, Bob.
  5. So, I guess that means you saw the whole thing all laid out? I'm pretty happy with how it turned out (even with the slight mismatch of colors). Heck, I'm amazed it turned out as well as it did. Thanks a ton for the compliments Pappy.
  6. I couldnt figure out how to post an image in the reply, so I put a photo of the finished rig in my gallery. It should also be visible in the top photo banner (new photo additions). Sorry for my lack of web savvy.
  7. Not a chance Pappy. I'll be sure to post them as soon as they are ready.
  8. All4Christ, and Blazin, Thanks for the kind words. It took a bit of work but I love it. I am just about finished with the accessories (including a holster). And so everyone knows... I am keeping this one, its all for me. Thanks again fellas.
  9. Thanks all. I'm really happy with how it turned out. I inherited the leather from a guy that had it in his garage for like 10 years. Its so thick, but its stained and scratched and since its just for me, I figured I could get away with it. Thanks again, so very much. PappyUSA - I'm already all over it. I've been working on mag pouches and a thing I'm going to call a "SASS - Drop". When I finish I will post more. Murray
  10. I have wanted to make myself a gun belt ever since I started working with leather (I'm a bit of a gun nut that's what pushed me to this craft). So now I've finally done it. Here is my very first gun belt. I like it a lot, hope you do to. Thanks for looking, enjoy Murray
  11. Thanks, Matt. It all started with my brother wanting a small full function wallet. This is what I cam up with and folks seem to like it. BTW, I dig the skull outline you did, sometimes less is more.
  12. Thanks, Electrathon. I will have to give that a try next time. Seriously, thanks.
  13. Here is my rendition/imitation of a an Al Stohlman design. I modified the pattern to include the basket weave. The other departure that I made was the addition of the interior flap (for those pesky carbon transfer checks). A checkbook cover, fresh off the bench. Fully carved floral design with initial on the front cover, basket weave on the back cover. Inside is two types of pig hide - an Autumn-y suede split, and a deep brown (incredibly supple) lining leather. Then the whole thing got wrapped in dk brown double looped calf lace. Enjoy, and thanks for lookin'.
  14. That is gorgeous. The floral carvings are great.
  15. Thanks, Cheryl. Bob, thanks for the kind words. Turns out we're "neighbors" next time I'm in FoCo i'll have to look you up. Like Coffee?
