Happy New Years to all. May next year be your best ever
-
I use the W/C belt latigo for my leashes and collars, works well, seems to be less oil stuffed into it. Like JLS says so far the product is quite good. I am not a large account at a couple of hides at a time so always ask if they can make the delivery in a couple of weeks. So far So good.

Hey Johanna, You bit off a chunk with this change girl friend. I work in the insurance industry, we have 50,000 employees and a whole raft of people to keep our system running. Your work here is coming along, I see revisions and corrections every time I log on. You will get there, we as your patrons just need to have a little patience until things clear up. By this time next year this will just be a bad dream. So take a break, be a mom and drink good whiskey. Everything will work out in the end.

thunter9 is correct about the Thomas Regestry however i think that they have an on line site as well. I have the Waterhouse samples. They have some really nice colors but not sure if they would have all the different colors you are interested in. Be prepaired to wait on the waterhouse samples i think it took about 2 months for me to get all of the samples they sent. However it was worth the wait.

Chevy Vs Ford?
cardinal leather replied to Gregg From Keystone Sewing's topic in Leather Sewing Machines
My fav is 1994 Buick century wagon, it is 2.2 engine with 373000 miles and still putting out 26-28 mpg. 2 head gaskets and rebuilt the tranny at 250, 000. -
I was watching a Tandy video one night. I do not remember which one but George Hurst was doing the work on one of their kits or patterns. He said that you can use our patterns to make items for sale or use, and we encourage this, just do not claim it as your own. that is not an exact quote but pretty close to what he said.

Matt, I received a thread sample kit from Tippman It comes in a plastic envelope with the different threads available. Give then a call and see if they still have it. It is pretty handy until you get used to the different threads. I also use it when doing repairs to match up the thread thickness..

This was a contest project from earlier this year. I modified it some so that i could give it to my grandaughter when it was completed. It turned out well enough except for the loss of color. The stain was applied before the resist had properly set. Patience is key. Emilly is happy with it so I am happy with it.

My brother in law had a ranger belt he wanted repaired. it had some work on it over the years but was now in bad shape. the leather itself was in decent shape. I started by removing the stitching then regluing the section, being careful not to stretch the leather. chased the holes with the smallest round awl, then saddle stitched the section. This continued around the belt until it was finished. Then refinished the edges, The belt looks good and he wears it every day again. total stitching was about 8 ft with the tongues. From your photo you should be able to do the same thing. The leather looks like it is in good shape just a matter of taking your time. Good luck.

Good Make And Style Of Leather Shears?
cardinal leather replied to Tallbald's topic in Leather Tools
I bought a pair at Tandy in the cities, around $40 - 50. I think it was their pro model. Very nice I use them a lot. they have serrated blades. While this helps hold to the leather when cutting you do have to keep them square to the leather or they will wonder a little. they have been thru many hides and still going strong. -

April Keep Making Stuff Challenge
cardinal leather replied to thefanninator's topic in Leatherwork Conversation
i used a pair of serated sissiors from Tandy. One tool that was worth the 45.00 price tag. it will follow the pattern well but you have to guide it carefully as they will want to work into the curve and that will leave a flat spot. -
