I Need A Beta Tester For My Template Set
tanda4 replied to stitchwizzard's topic in Patterns and Templates
Any updates on if the collar template will be put into production? I would definitely buy them. -
I'm trying to make 1" inch dog collar and using: Tandy Double Shoulder 8-9 oz. Eco-Flow Leather Dye Eco-Flow Professional Water Stain I dyed two strips with the Eco Flow Leather Dye and two with the Eco-Flow Professional Water Stain. All four strips of leather split when bending to attach the buckle. The un-dyed shoulder seems to be flexible. I'm trying to figure out if the cracking is from the leather, the Leather Dye/Stain, or a combination. Any input?

Is there a easy way to attach the chain for a choker collar? The only thing I can think of is cutting and soldering. *Picture is a random image found from Google Images

I was about to order a Douglas Awl Blade. UPS was $16+ and then finally found the USPS shipping of $7+. Even that is crazy for an awl blade.

So frustrating at times. Still haven't completed a full project. There is always something that I screw up.

It's not mine. Found the picture on Google.

I found a picture of this wallet and would like to attempt something similar. I believe is was made by MAKR. How is the plaid pattern done on this? It doesn't look like a groove.

I love getting new toys. Is it all Blanchard?

The edger is a #2 Jeremiah White edger should be a quality tool, so it must be me. I cannot seem to get this sharp. I watched videos. I tried all sorts of sandpaper (600, 800, 1000, 2000) around a perfectly fit rod. And at all different angles. Stropping with with white jewelers rouge. NOTHING!

Is there really any options besides Dixon and Blanchard? Is there really any options besides Dixon and Blanchard?

Any Known Classes In The Chicago Area?

I desperately need to learn before I give up. -
Being a noob, I don't really have a style or concentration yet. It will be more of small items such as wallets, straps, journal covers, etc. I wonder if this style of knife would be a little more manageable ... Leather Wrangler Mini Lui

Somewhere between Tandy junk and the beautiful work of art from Leather Wranglers? I would love a Leather Wrangler round knife, but it's a little expensive for a beginner.

I did find some info about a Jerome W. Ropp from Elyria, Ohio. He had a bunch of patents, including a loop and bar for a harness and a strap fastener, both from the 1880's. Perhaps it's the same person. Patents

Even if he wasn't the maker. Do you have a guess of who did make them? Thanks

I order some of Springfield Leather's Police Bellies and they are THOUGH & THICK. How can I flatten these out a bit to be able to use a draw gauge?
