  1. Here is my latest seat...i was going for the biomechanical look, but i dont think i quite achieved it. I thought i would show it anyway. This was my first project using bevelled lace....love it !!! I like the way it sits much flatter.
  2. welcome rik....love those boots!!!
  3. thanks bex, that sounds about what i ended up doing, but i think i went into the 3 holes 3 times and not 4 in the corner....and the corners were rounded off, so no pointy bits. When i get some time i think i will practice a bit more and try to get it so i am happy with it and post a tutorial. cheers
  4. I have to admit, i couldnt follow the pdf that i was sent...maybe i was having a dumb day..anyway i sort of worked it out, but it still wasnt as good looking as i would like. Tim and DC i will send it to you and maybe it will help!!

  6. Great clown, great lacing....anyone have coulrophobia?????
  7. I have been using my new favorite toy, thanks to the generosity of our member Bevan (http://www.bwrwhips.com/) It is a lace cutter and beveler. I have tried to bevel lace the manual way but always ended up with the lace cut or my fingers cut...BUT NO MORE!!!! This wonderful gadget does it perfectly every time and with such little effort I havent used the cutting part yet as i still have quite a good supply of precut roo, but i have been using the beveling bit. I always wondered if it was worth beveling lace but i think it does give a much better finish. I am currently lacing a seat and will post a pic when i am finished. The cutter/beveler is available from bevans website. The photo shows 4.7mm roo and the beveled shavings. Thanks again bevan
  8. thanks bex....i have been emailed a couple of pdf's with the solution. cheers

  10. yes, that is what i am trying to do...just cant work it out!!???
  11. I am making a back rest for a trike and i am doing basket weave to join the back and front together. I was going fine until i got to the corner!!! I know with other lacing styles that you go into the corner hole 2 or three times, but this doesnt work with basket weave. I have spent all afternoon on this and it still looks like a dogs breakfast. Does anyone have any diagrams on how to do this? I have bruce grants encyclopedia, but i cant find a solution in it. Any help would be very much appreciated. Cheers caroline

  17. thanks fletch , it is quite short... 1 metre but as it is for heeling work, i didnt want extra leather hanging down. With the dog on the left, and holding it in my left hand, it is just right.!!
  18. wow, beautiful work, good luck with the furniture business
  19. So impressive...what color are you going to dye it?? or not??
  20. I dont find the traditional dog lead to be comfortable in my hand, so i have made this slip style heeling lead without the loop. I will use this lead for obedience training and agility. thanks for looking caroline
