    Whips & Bosal

Bevan, your work is wonderful, i checked out your website and love it all....the lace cutter/beveller looks very interesting....the only thing missing is the teenager whip...i need one for my son....just kidding....I wish you lived down the road from me (Geelong Vic)...i can braid but knots do my head in...i seem to have a mental block...Oh well, maybe i'll travel your way one day.
  11. i think it looks great..looking forward to seeing it finished.
  12. great tooling ....one crooked stamp and it would have ruined it...great precision.....love the color
  13. Here is a plain seat constructed on the small westeagle pan....mostly black with a brownish burst in the centre....i used 3mm lacing for the first time (i had run out of 6mm). Stained using a mix of tan and brown, then airbrushed around the edges using black raven oil.

  16. Wow...an old post comes back from the grave!!!! The point of the exercise was to try something different....to explore techniques.. .so it looked crappy....perfection was not the point. Does the technique work....probable not...i havent tried it again....but this failed exercise wont stop me trying new techniques and exploring new ways to manipulate leather and then asking for constructive criticism and suggestions. cheers to my knights in shining armour!!!!!

  18. Unfortunately many people wouldn't know quality if it hit them in the face...keep away from them or over charge them!! I can usually spot them by their stupid demands or ideas....they usually wont listen to good suggestions. The bag you made is really great, as it your seat. cheers
