  1. Here a couple of pics of my latest custom belt. This one is on it's way to it's owner in England The belt is made of two hand cut strips of 8-10oz Wickett and Craig leather. Dyed brown and finished with Neat-Lac on the liner and 3 coats of Obenaufs LP on the outside. The customer requested one fixed belt keeper and one "floating" belt keeper. So here is the result. This is the first belt I have sold. I am pretty happy with how it came out. But as always I will be looking to make the next one better. Thanks for looking, Nick

  6. Nicely done!! I may have to try making a pair for myself to wear around the house.
  7. Awesome! I really need to learn how to make bags, I especially like the heavy duty yet clean look. Regards, Nick
  8. I also would like a logo done. I have a "brand" I would like incorperated into the logo/maker's stamp. I will PM you later with a drawing. Thanks, Nick
  9. Nicely Done!! I can totally see you doing a piece with a mexican "Day of the Dead" theme, using this style. Keep it Up!
  10. Here are some pics of a sheath set I just completed for one of the guys in my platoon. The Randall knife belonged to his father who served as a Special Forces NCO, and the Tomahawk is in case he has to go "Old School" on some Jihadist in the Sandbox. Both sheaths are made of Wickett and Craig leather, dyed in Saddle Tan, and finished with Obenauffs LP. The loops on the side of the sheath as well as loop on the tomahawk cover were requested by the owner. The knife sheath is set for vertical or horizontal carry and will attach to web gear. I am delivering it tomorrow. I hope he likes them. The sheath is probably the most complex sheath I have tried so far. Thanks for looking, Nick
  11. I AM a big fan of western style stuff and Sheridan style carving. Having said that I like this idea! I think it would be real cool if the if it were just the skulls and they were a little more hidden. You would look at it going "Wow, nice Sheridan carving! Wait a minute...are those skulls? What the ??..." It would be a like a real cool leather carving inside joke. You did a real nice job! It's always cool to think "outside the box", so to speak. I like it! Regards, Nick
  12. I haven't the foggiest idea how to make the darn thing work. Seriously, about all I know about sewing machines is that you press the pedal/switch and it goes. Seriously, where would I go to learn to sew using a machine? I would like to save up and buy an Artisan Toro 3000, but it won't do me any good if I don't know how to use it. HELP! Nick
  13. Marlon, Very nice work indeed! I like it! Thankfully my wife doesn't look around in this forum, or I would have making one of those lamps added to my "Honey-do" list. Regards, Nick

  16. Strap looks great! I really like what I have gotten from Wickett and Craig. Nice watch too. A little pricey for me but real nice Nick
  17. Truly awesome!!! That belt is truly too cool for school! Thanks for telling us about this project and posting the pics. You have given me something to shoot for artistically. Regards, Nick
  18. Awesome job. Those are really nice. There is nothing like a personal story incorporated into a project to make it truly special. Nick
  19. WOW!!!! Very nice work! Thak you for helping raise money for military causes! Regards, Nick
  20. Thanks guys. A buddy of mine gave me the buckle. You buy them from the Weavers Catalog That's what I made it for.
  21. Thanks for the kind words Yeah, the belt is kind of burly, I like to overbuild things. Now I am working on overbuilding stuff while still refining the small details. As far as adding extra length to compensate for the thickness, how much extra length should I add. I have already had one person ask me to make him one and I did not even think about this. Thanks, Nick
  22. That sheath looks mighty fine indeed. You may need to get your son a really nice box cutter to go into it now. Nick
  23. Here is a pic of my latest belt. This is the third belt I have completed. It is pretty basic. Two layers of 8-10oz, saddle stitched, outer layer dyed mahogany, one piece buckle. I sewed the buckle in place since I don't plan on changing it out. I finished the belt with a few coats of Obenaufs LP. I tried this before on my first belt, the one in my avatar, and it has held up very nicely. I like the fact that I can easily reapply the finish if need be. I need to work on dying my edges though, I overlapped a Little bit as you can see in the photo. The edges slicked real well though, I think I finally have that part down, they are slicker than snot on a glass door knob. . I enjoyed this project and plan on making some more belts. I have a few ideas for some different stuff. Let me know what you think. Regards, Nick
