S&w L Frame Holster
Windrider30 replied to stu925's topic in Gun Holsters, Rifle Slings and Knife Sheathes
Hey Stu its more of a matter of grip to pop the snap when its concealed more then actual changing the grip, a quick grip and swing outward when drawing, but then again I am a left hander and have been told I do things stranglly lol but hell that is just me. Its a nice looking holster and yeah the cover garment getting caught in the trigger guard is low odds but then again I have been run over by a car, and survived and that was pretty low odds as well! -
cut traced and did the everything from the front, its not deep enough for me to have to fill any voids in the back.

You do not have to really use Google adword, its about meta tags in your website that help drive traffic to the search engines. Who ever has designed the website you can have them add the meta tags, such things like leather bags, leather goods, leather, hand made. Descriptions like that.

S&w L Frame Holster
Windrider30 replied to stu925's topic in Gun Holsters, Rifle Slings and Knife Sheathes
Very nice, but personally when I was carrying my 9 mm I preferred a holster that did not cover the whole trigger guard I found those style a bit annoying and for some reason it would slow me down on the draw. (Use to work security so quick draw some times was required or at least a seamless draw) I do like the idea of being able to wear different thicknesses of belts with that holster its a nice touch. Also, again personal choice I would have preffered the snap part to be facing away from my body, not against it. But as I said that is my own personal choice over all really great looking piece! -
Well figured I would try my hand at doing an inverted carving, have the book on it figured might as well give it a go still learning to use a swivel knife and all that good jazz but I am happy with the way it turned out, now the end product...that might be another story lol making a cell phone case out of this gussets and all but umm I think its going to be a bit wide and deeper then what I need. Ah well experimenting can be fun! Went with a saddle tan antique gel.

Looks good but from a marketing standpoint instead of saying blackish brown (as an example) I would use more like a black/brown descprtion

Do Any Other Members Also Do Chainmaille?
Windrider30 replied to InfiniteChain's topic in Leatherwork Conversation
I do a LOT of chainmail mostly bracelets necklaces and what not. Starting to get into the leather not only to start backing some of these items but also to add to the value www.etsy.com/au/shop/GibbinTheGremlin That be the store just to see some of the stuff I have done mostly in chainmail. Binding chainmail and leather together can be a real pain in the ass depending on the weave style 4 and 1 sits rather nicely persion or half person can be a pain in the ass that is why mostly you will see it as say a biker chain with little or no leather attached to it.- 10 replies

Red Mini Bag
Windrider30 replied to huns's topic in Purses, Wallets, Belts and Miscellaneous Pocket Items
That is cool! Not sure if I want to try to make handles, I am still trying to get a handle on gusset making (all bad puns intended!) -
Ok this is my very first bag ever! Had a few issues like figuring out the Gusset which does bring up my first question. Question 1 I have seen some bags here that have what looks like a near 90 degree angle on the gusset how in the hell do you do that? I think maybe I did not cut the grove in the gusset deep enough so maybe that is why its hard to see a fold line in the bag. The carving came out ok I personally think as I am not that practiced in carving just yet. Now the second question I have is when you see man bag 3 you will see the flap has a bit of a snake like fold in it was wondering how the hell that happened unless I tightened the lace down to hard in that section would that cause that problem? I will post a picture of the full length of the bag, the handle is adjustable which I think was a neat idea that Tandy (yes its a tandy pattern) added into it. But that photo comes a bit later when the wife takes it for me lol.
