  1. Welcome Duane. Great website. I'm gonna have to order one of those t-shirts! Regards, Daryl
  2. Thanks for the compliment. I created this piece with alot of background...just a change of pace. This is just plain wickett & craig russett skirting leather with no additives. I let the sun do the coloring for me. About the only thing I use on my leather is either olive or neatsfoot oil. Again, thanks for the compliment. Daryl
  3. Steve, I really like it. What did you use for the background? Blends in perfect. Congrats! Daryl
  4. Be gentle folks! Still working on this bible cover. (It might take a few secs to download. I put the camera on "hair on a gnat's *** setting".) Regards, Daryl
  5. Ryan, That is an Ellis Barnes stamp....my basketweave. Thanks for the compliment.
  6. Photgraphing my leather has been a long going battle. Purchased a Canon today and I'm like a kid in a candy store.
  7. Ed, Here is the logo with different wording. My opinion is to keep logos as simple as possible.....not too cluttered. Yes, I do laser into leather. I'm currently lasering a maker stamp, but as soon as it finishes, I will laser the attached logo into leather and post it for you. Hope this helps you. Regards, Daryl
  8. Heck, everyone is posting chinks....thought I would too.
  9. Ed, Thought I'd throw in some input. Let me know if you'd like to see it on leather. Daryl
  10. Ed, How many of these "labels" are you thinking of making? Regards, Daryl
  11. I inlay my leather into wood by using my laser.
  12. Kevin, I'm curious as to your rate per vector conversion. I have some logos to put into an .eps files. You can send me a direct email at dlbarberousse@hotmail.com. Thanks, Daryl

    Happy New Year!!!

    Simply beautiful!!!
  16. Beautiful work! Looks like it will hold up great. Make sure you keep it around so that you can look back at it in 5-10 years, I bet it will make you smile. Congratulations!
  17. David, Yes, the back of the leather does have a sticky texture to it. However, most people usually line the flesh side of the leather....ie I line my checkbook covers with pigskin.
  18. Dave, I personally use exposed x-ray film. I rough up the film and back of my leather to insure good contact, then I spray 3M multipurpose adhesive on the back of my leather and attach. I'll put a piece of marble on top of the leather and let it dry for a couple hours before I case my leather. Works for me.....good luck
  19. Second time newbie reporting in........ This seems to be a great site. I hope to learn alot from my fellow leather workers. Here is my homepage in case I haven't set my profile up correctly. www.dbarleather.com I look forward to the responses..... Regards, Daryl
