First I thought that I missed the white dye then I read that you used a different brand :-) Angelus red dye does not really come out a nice pink color (in my book) when deluted, it looks more like just a deluted red??? Even if the dye dries out in a container I just refill with some alcohol and "Bob's your oncle", works like a charm even if the amount might be slightly smaller than original.

You really don't need that manny colors...Mix your own :-) Don't forgett a whole bunch of empty glass jars for your own mixes if you want to keep them. When I color things I have paper plates (plastic coated ones) a few drops of dye in one "corner" (or 2 if I use more than one color) and alcohol in the middle, to me this is the easy way of blending for smaller projects/details etc. I always get a big bottle (quarter) of yellow, the most useful when mixing your own color library (greens & oranges, browns etc.). You need a good red and blue, some black and browns. The brown tones is the trickiest to mix yourself and of course a whole bunch of alcohol deluter :-) Pink is also hard to make out of the red so one of them will be a good option. I don't by the "light" colors anymore, I just deluted the stronger ones myself, it makes the bottles go even further. Good luck//Tina

No water for delution, use either the Angelus reduser or a more affordable option is denture alcohol which can be bought in bigger cans over at your end of the big pond. I only know that the finisher I talked about earlier is called "Acryllic finicher" so I guess is something similar to super sheen (?), an acryllic based top coat of sorts. I have never seen the need to reduse the finisher but I don't see why that would not work.

Hi and Thanks for your kind words and :-) The "Tor" collar is lockable with a plate staple (I think it's called) the scorpio is just a ordinary buckle.

I made a collar a few weeks ago with a cobra snake and my new client loved the collor scheme so much she wanted the same on hers...But this time with a stingy scorpio. The other collar is with one of Thors (Tor's) goats. He has 2 of them draging his cart around when he's making thunder in the sky :-)

I could not find gold but here's a link for you, you might have to call them up about the sizes. I have always found them easy to work with: https://hidehouse.com/products/index.html?Product_ID=590

How to/ Carefully :-) When using spirit dye (I use Angelus) it's like water and can easily run all over the place, have a piece of tissue handy to get rid of the excess dye on the brush. Another thing to use is a reducer (example denatured alcohol), many dyes is pigment strong and can be deluted to 50% or more, it's better to paint layer by layer until your happy with the shade than get that first coat on and it's way to strong (and irreversible). I second lightningale's suggestion about the brushes, in my book you can never have to manny :-)

I use the 2" blue masking tape from 3M (Lowes and more has it) and I have 2 layers in criss-cross on the back. The blue tape is stronger and way easier to remove when the work is done than the yellow masking tape. Remove it when the leather is dry otherwice you might strech the leather in a total wrong way.
