    Very nice work.
  2. No critique here. It looks great Alan. I have a knife I wanted to something similar to, but that's in the future. Great job. Butch

  5. Thanks Bruce. I may try to make one someday.
  6. Very nice Bruce. I have a question for you though that you may have previously answered. When you do your rope cans do you work on the front and back only, or is there something that you do around the middle as well? Thanks, Butch
  7. Welcome Subby - You've definitely come to the right place if you want to learn leather. There's a lot of talented people here. Butch
  8. Thanks. Haven't got to the knife yet but I've been into my braiding books trying to figure out what type of braid I wanted to use. I've narrowed it down to a couple. Thanks, Butch

  13. Quite sometime ago I made a cell phone case for my mother-in-law and the glue on the Velcro came off so the finish got messed up. Had I sewn it, it would of stayed. Lesson learned. I made this one for her and it's a little bit fancier. Thanks for looking, Butch
  14. Very nice work. The horseshoes add to it. Great job
  15. Sorry I don't have anything for you but congratulations. Butch
  16. I'm not a Saddle Expert so I won't criticize anything. I think it looks very nice also. Butch
  17. Welcome to the site Brad, My son went to UTI in Spring a few years ago. We own property in Cross Cut, Texas and I'm Air Force retired after 21 1/2 years. Worked on the Fighters jet engines initially and then the aircraft. Ironically I have three kids also, but I hope my daughter isn't pregnant. Again welcome to the site. Butch
  18. Very cool and appropriate Makers Stamp. Butch
  19. Here's the backside of the sheath. Not a whole lot to it. I was going to hold off showing the knife until I can get the handle braided. Once I do that I'll re-post. Thanks, Butch
  20. Thanks guys. Fritz I will get a picture of the backside of the sheath tonight. It's pretty plain. Happy New Years Butch
  21. I haven't made a lot of knife sheaths, but my dad gave me an older knife years before he died. The sheath that came with the knife was in pretty bad shape so I thought I'd finally make a new one for it. I have plans to braid the handle of the knife and hopefully it won't take me as long as it has taken me to make a sheath for it. Butch
  22. Very Nice!
