  5. Very nice JW. I have a question for you also if you don't mind. I don't know anything about the making of a saddle but I've seen some swells laced and others sewn. Is there a deciding factor in this or is it just personal preference? Thanks, Butch

  16. Thanks guys. The bottom part is a single thread Stair Step Applique and the black/red is a double thread Stair Step Applique. It come out of Bruce Grant's Encyclopedia of rawhide and leather braiding. It's supposed to be lace or thong but I think it looked pretty cool with thread. Thanks, Butch
