  1. That's awesome Hedge. Great work by the two of you. Butch
  2. I punched cows and wrangled horses during and right out of High School. Did a 180 and joined the Air Force and retired after 21 1/2 years of Fighter Aircraft Maintenance in 1998. So I'm in the Check of the Month Club. I've been a Software Engineer since my retirement. It's really not my passion though, so My wife and I are heading to our property in Cross Cut, Texas within the next few years without jobs, bills or worries and take it from there and hopefully retire early.
  3. Very nice work. You did a great job and I'm sure your daughters will really enjoy them. Butch
  4. Very nice Greybeard. The detail is really nice. I'm with you on Mexican round; it takes a long time but it sure looks nice. Butch
  5. I'd be ashamed to show a picture of where I'm working now after looking at these great work shops. I'm working out of an approximately 5' X 8' area. It's functional, sort of, and hopefully just temporary. Butch
  6. Thanks for the comments guys. Butch
  7. Very nice. And I agree with you about the color. One happy kid I'm sure. Butch
  8. That looks really awesome CedarCreek. I've only made one holster and I have a question for you. What is the reason for the spacer leather that run below the trigger guard and barrel, is it because of the width of the pistol? Thanks, Butch
  9. Freak, The only problems I had were with the inside where the photo album hinges. I initially had 4/5 oz leather and it was too thick, so I used the lighter weight leather that you see on the inside, so it would bend. That made it so I was able to close it. The only other problem I have is that the album is sort of spring loaded because of the outside 4/5 oz leather, so I plan on putting a strap on it with snaps. This is the first time I've done one of these, so I just kind of winged it. If anybody has opinions on the items I mentioned please let us know. Thanks, Butch
