  1. Benlilly a little less than 2 hides and particularly in the seat it was difficult to get the leather tight, I may give another go at the cushion.
  2. I've completed the project meaning I'm on to the next one. I would love some feedback! In case anyone forgot this is what I started with!
  3. I'm now pleased to offer Genuine Leather 20" X 20" panels in my store. These panels are perfect for crafting! Be sure to view both listings to view all available colors. https://www.etsy.com/listing/217845828/20-x-20-genuine-leather-panels
  4. Check out the next steps of the chair! I'm pretty excited about the progress and would love some feedback. All I have left to do is the front lip the back panel and the cushion. I have really enjoyed this project but like always I'm itching to get it done so that I can start the next one!!! Also in case you missed it I'm offering free shipping on all hides through midnight tonight coupon code SH1PFREE https://www.etsy.com/shop/LeatherCollector?ref=hdr_shop_menu
  5. Free shipping on orders placed today and tomorrow through midnight!!! Use code: SH1PFREE https://www.etsy.com/shop/LeatherCollector?ref=hdr_shop_menu
  6. I may not be able to help you with the directly from the source but I have a variety of hides in my etsy shop (at what I think is a competitive price). Constantly updating with new articles as I have time to upload them. https://www.etsy.com/shop/LeatherCollector?ref=hdr_shop_menu
  7. That looks great you should post the Before shot as well!
  8. Wanted to keep everyone up to date on the progress of the chair. I got another section done so I've completed the upholstery of one side and began the work on the other. Hopefully, I can get it completed by the weekend because my wife would like everything but the chair out of the living room . Obviously, far from perfect but I'm hopeful to learn as I start on the other side!
  9. Buy a chair off craigslist and remove the upholstery. Work carefully as you remove the existing upholstery, salvaging hardware when possible and noting how the piece was constructed. Use the removed upholstery as a template when cutting the hide and assemble as you had removed it. The best advice is trial and error! There are lots of videos on youtube and posts on pinterest but nothing replaces learning by the old college try.
  10. Also if you have something specific that you are looking for do not hesitate to message me.
  11. These look great what a good idea!
  12. Thanks Chris! You all have gotten me excited to get back to work on it tonight!
