  1. You must have spent a lot of time on this nice looking tool. Must be of great help for anybody not being able to make a straight cut on a 4 cm stretch.
  2. Maken them two legs straight, extend the antennas and you're done. Just figured it out.
  3. You're excused, being from Quebec, we know you guys are always drunk Nah you'll have to modify Roq's pattern a little. Bottom antenna will have to be little longer than the top one. Also the the hole antenna section will have to come more downwards, well over the middle of the top. Just draw around a little and you'll figure it out.
  4. Exactly as Mike states has proven to work best for me. It's so much easier for me to glue the core in.
  5. Looking really nice Chief. Hey is there any reason why there are these grey marks on that bill? Can only see one tiny flaw and this is where I assume your start and end of the lacing is.
  6. Looking nice, even still room for personalization.
  7. Thanks, that rings a bell now. Thank you.
  8. A reflection? Well could be. Not gonna pick on you anyways, cause you stuff is pretty good. As you know if I'm bugging you it's just things most will never notice and even more will never achieve.
  9. Just noticed you are in Australia. Of course roo, what else? I wish it would be affordable here in Germany. I'd be using roo only. I don't know what gaucho lacing is, but it sure looks nice. I like lacing a lot it just takes so horribly long. Wonder if it would look good on yokes for a pair of chaps.
  10. Yes, glue the entire surface. This happens to me too in two cases. First when I'm not waiting long enough with putting the pieces together and second when I'm waiting too long. Unfortunately it varies with glue and leather so you'll have to find that out yourself. Also did you sand your edges? I stopped doing that. Just have my tools really sharp and burnish them. Sanding can cause this effect to and especially if it wasn't glued well enough. It's one of those been there done that experiences. Hell, I'd be the last to complain about your hand stitching. I'll never be as good as you on that. Here's another tip I learned from George. If you're just staining your edges (don't know if it's the same for painting) you can use glue water to seal the edges. No upstanding fibers not big trouble burnishing and the edges remain nice for a long time.
  11. Thank you. Yeah, I was thinking of something like that together with the other 11 astrological signs.
  12. Not sure what you actually did there Yin. Just a suggestion as usually - I would make the inner part from thinner leather than the outer to reduce or even avoid those wrinkles. Also I don't know if you glued the whole surface or just some. You definitely want to glue your edges better and tap with a hammer or just better. Don't know if you did that or not, but there's sign of some inappropriate gluing. If you would use a soldering iron and melt that edge paint into that groove you could get rid of that and then apply another layer of edge paint. Other than that it looks good as always. So my comments are really picky and just this little extra, if you know what I mean.
  13. This 3.38 mm is a tad more than 1/8 and thus for about 8 SPI.
  14. Thanks. Don't how it would be on a corset, but you definitely don't want it to become to thick. So a thinner lace than this one maybe and eventually just a double loop braid instead of a Mexican round braid. Takes less time and less braid.
  15. Nice! How did you stitch them handles?
  16. Thank you, it's really just continued practice and using the right distance for the size of your lace. Thank you.
  17. Thank you. Trying to improve from one project to the other.
  18. You very obviously have no idea what you are talking about. There are quite a few units which don't come home for weeks if not months. Make yourself familiar with the diversity of law enforcement units and various other first responder units before stating such poor stuff. This is very disrespectful to the people putting their lives at risk for people like you. Many LEOs served in the forces prior their LEO career. And as you stated it is a free choice. It's no secret what's happening there after enrollment. Very few people are choosing a lifetime as soldier, but usually most people enrolling for a career as LEO plan to do this their whole career. Yes, they can quit any time, but most don't as it is more than just a profession it's what they are. Dedicated to serve. Obviously there are others as well.
  19. Yet she will stand alone with it as not just one study has proven that to be more than wrong and can lead to serious injuries. I'd be interested in that link as well and have Joyce Harman, DVM comment on that. Thanks a million oldtoot, already forgot about that. Solves a problem for me.
  20. Thanks TinkerTailor. My Desk is 6' x 4' and the bin in the center under it so my wife and I can both use it. It's actually pretty comfy. Now I have to make myself a new office chair, cause I broke the laminated wood on the current one. So I guess I'll be buying one from where ever and cover it with some nice leather and some tooling.
  21. We all have our talents and I might never be as good hand sewing as you are. Thanks for the compliment You know there are tools to make straight borders easier? A wing divider is a great aid for this.
  22. They still look awesome Yin. Your stitching has come a long way. Mine is nowhere near. Would you mind taking a picture from a different perspective so the belt keeper (bulk) can be seen better?
  23. Thank you Sandra, but you know I will always consider myself a beginner. There's no day I don't learn something new and am happy about it. Thanks Lonewolf
  24. Again, thank you Brian. But you know your stuff is top of the line, right?
