:wtf: AWESOME!!!! Freaky Deaky! That is one cool welding helmet! Love the dye job. Storm

I really like the old school look of the tooling! I also like the upholstery on your furniture. I am not sure but I think I saw that once before in Roy and Dales livingroom. You just don't see that much anymore. I am willing to bet you have some cool stuff around the house. Storm

Red and black shoulder bag

Hi Caroline, That looks really great. Love how you put it all together. The lacing looks super! Don't feel like the Lone Ranger. Santee did not get off his backside and get me a sewing machine either. I must have been naughty as I know I wasn't nice. I have had to start hand sewing my own wallet interiors as Tandy isn't making them anymore. If I had a machine then it would be a quick zip zap and Bob's your uncle and I am done. Nicely done kiddo! In December was a lot of work

Your work is always very good! I especially like the piece on the far right. Is that for storing a Koran? Beautiful work! Ваша работа всегда очень хорошо! Мне особенно нравится кусок в дальнем правом. Том, что для хранения Корана? Красивые работы! Storm -
Pretty darn nice Ed! Keep it going now. I like the combination of the old school style florals and the figure carving but the icing on the cake is the frame and the featers and such. Seems a shame to have not done anything for awhile. Please keep them coming! Storm

Very nice stuff! I really like your idea for the colored pencil case pocket. That's cool!!! Storm

Glad you like the tutorial and the pattern. Basically I saddle stitch with waxed linen thread. There is also some waxed nylon thread. I have a key fob in my pocket that is several yeard old and still tight as a drum. Usining rivets usually means rusting. Most women may carry their keys in their purse but men carry in their pants pocket. My experience has generally shown that you own bodies perspiration can cause rusting, while waxed linen doesn't. Hope that this helps. Storm

Bruce, This is a beautiful tribute to a friend. I hope I might have something that nice when I pass on. The entire thing is right on the money. Wonderful craftsmanship!! A real western honor for a friend!!! Storm

Might want to try and ask Springfield Leather Company. Those seem to be their designs. Maybe they could steer you in the right direction.

Hi Hilly, Closer forensic computer digital analysis seems to show that the flower center are not the same even though they appear to be. Refer to attached image. The centers were cut with a swivel knife and then nicely beveled down. A nice crosshatch is done gently with the swivel knife. Then a small seeder is used to ring the outside of the center. At first glance the crosshatch looks alomost identical(Look at the upper right of each) and sort of fades a bit. Makes you think it could be a stamp. But if we count the seeds we find 12 on the left and 10 on the right. It is a testament to BOBOCAT's skill that his work might fool the eye but even the variations are so small as to go almost unseen. None the less his work is superb!!!!! He is our Chinese Cowboy Carver! Storm

Very nice Ed! I can see that hte apple does not fall too far from your family tree. Watch out...he's going to give you some competition! HA! STORM -
Thanx Tom! I am getting a little better with the ecoflo but it is still not right. Changes with each type or brand of leather not to mention having it change on the two pieces from the same hide. Still prefer neetsfoot oild and the seal with Satin Shene. However some people will want their colors. HA! Storm

Thanx much Gary! I am thinking of maybe a Frank Zappa next. That ought to be Hippie Old School enough. HA! Or maybe something like Roger Daltry! Who? That's right...Pin Ball Wizard. Storm

Hilly is right. Your knifework on the decorative cuts is looking good. Good coloring on that belt also! Storm

Very cool! Looks like it came straight out of the movie"The Postman" with Kevin Costner. Storm

Gary, I can actually say that I saw the Beatles live at the Hollywood Bowl. Back in the day I saw a lot of groups live. The Doors, The Seeds, The Animals, The Stones, Janice Joplin, The Jefferson Airplane, Canned Heat(When the Bear was fronting for the band), Elton John, Joan Baez, The Birds, The Beach Boys, Paul Revere And The Raiders, Sam The Sham And The Pharoahs Dick Dale and more than I care to remember. That's just the Rock and Roll. Don't get me going about Jazz and other types of music. LOL! You're wrong. Even when my grandfather was alive and 85 he said inside he just felt 24 years old unfortunately all the plumbing and assorted parts didn't work the same but in his soul he felt 24. Besides 60 is the new 45 and a half right?!?!? Storm

wallet Patterns
Storm replied to bobocat's topic in Purses, Wallets, Belts and Miscellaneous Pocket Items
Are you sure you are not part Cowboy? Your work is always a pleasure to view. Thank you for the pattern. Happy New Year! 您是否确实不属于牛仔?你的工作总是高兴地查看。谢谢您的模式。新年快乐! Storm -
Plan?!?!?! We don't need no stinking plan!?!? At this point Hilly I am doing them because I can and have the time to do them. I did Mick first as a friend said that she wanted to have something carved on a portfolio for her husband. Then she changed her mind when I quoted her a price. What else is new??? LOL! The the other two came along and I have one of Ronnie for the Stones to work up. Cobra Steve suggested carving all four Stones on one large piece of leather but I am not inclined to do it on spec, as it were, and need the leather for some other projects. The shorter answer is....Nope, no plan! LOL! Storm

Clair both pieces are super. Highest levels of carving and construction. But I have to say that your clock is my favorite item. Stunning carving!!!!! Storm
