  1. Love the Koi! Once again I can see that there are many possibilties fro adapting tattoo flash to leather. I recently scored a ton of Japanese flash and it is amazing. Storm

  4. Banana Bender?!?!?!? In Darwin they used to use the term Cane Whacker but they're Yabos for the most part. HA! Welcome to the site. I went to yours and was amazed at your skills and the ability to take something quite functional and turn it into a work of art. You are truely an artist. Storm
  5. This is a test piece I worked up for a friend this weekend. Want to make sure he likes it before I go on the finished piece. Nother use for a piece of scrap.
  6. Spider man! Love this one! Really a trip and a half. Very nicely done.
  7. Really great idea! Now if you would move out to California you could make a fortune. The only useless piece of scrap is the one you throw away. You just proofed it.
  8. Wow! Just starting out?!?! You must make one hell of a hat! Keep it up and keep on doing what you have been doing. Perhaps we should go for really gifted.
  9. Very sweet! Love the overall feel and color. Very good job.
  10. Very clean and nicely constructed. There is a craftsmanship in a good straightforward piece.
  11. I have a catalog coming from those guys and find that they also have a lot of stuff you can't find at Tandy. There is another great site www.conchos.com. I have also gone to their business here in Califonia. They have some awesome conchos and belt buckles and sets. Their prices are killer and quality great. The guy to talk to is Jason. A buckle set that might cost $12 at Tandy can be had for $4.50. Storm
  12. I am going to have to go along with Kate rergading the use of Illustrator. I am a computer graphics designer at this point....used to be an architectural designer for 23 three years using both my hands and computers. For myself I find that using Photoshop and Illustrator together can do some neat things. I was working on an idea for a wrist band/bracelet the other day. I mocked it all up to scale and included the actual images of the slotted conchos I was going o use. With a scanner, some Photoshop and Illustrator you can come up with some cool stuff. Whatever floats your boat and gets you through the night. But a lot of the time I am striving to create by hand...the original digital(fingers...digits) way. You look at people like Al and Anne Stohlman, Al Shelton, Chester Hape and so many more and all they had was some tracing paper and a No.2 pencil. God love them all. They really got it done. HA! 13. Hi All, Just got delivery , when I arrived home last night, of a new book. Check out their site if you are unaware of it: http://www.proleptic.net/. I found a book I have not seen before,"Floral Pattern Drawing for the Artistically Impared". There are not alot of this sort of thing that I have found. The author...Pete Gorrell goes through the various stages of creating your own floral patterns. I just lucked out finding it. Proleptic gave me great service too. I have the Sheridan book and that was $30.00. This one runs $18.95 plus $3.00 S&H in side the states. Sorry I can't find a better...ah bigger image but I am attaching what I was able to scarf. HA! 14. The flower petals are accented with a pear shader and the I used Supershene as a resist/black and the died them using one of the new All-In-One Eco-Flow stains from Tandy(I like this stuff). The background is had dyed with black using a brush.
  15. Very cool and a decent price too. Thank you very much. I went to your site and really like your work. The black croc is beautiful. Thanks so much, Storm
  16. Really like the work. The molded holsters are cool. Where did you find the dummy guns to use in the forming process of your holsters? Been looking for something like it for quite sometime.

  19. Thanks for the compliments. I am just practicing to get the nuances down. Herewith is a coaster with another tool I bought Craftool D447. A picture of it as well as the other D445 are attached. There are also smaller versions of this D445. I want to get them also. I really like them.
  20. Thanks guys. The background is a new one from Tandy. I want to try this King pebble Backgrounder but need to get some extra cash. HA!
  21. This is one of the ones I have created. This one fits the Jack Daniels bottle right where the label normally goes. I then finish them off with a hard felt liner of forest green or deep red.
  22. Just a couple of pieces with my trying out a new border. Have to give it some more pratice but I like the direction.
  23. Your bike is out of this fracking world! The seat so compliments it!
  24. Welcome! You have come to the right place. There is nothing better for oiling up the gears and shaking out the cobwebs than this site. It is a great place to meet people and to learn more. WoW! I guess what the say about NeatLac is true. The stuff must have a half life of fifty years.
  25. Thanks much! Something like 4.5" x 6" I just hate throwing away leather. I usually end up practicing new techniques or patterns out o get a feel.
