  1. Beautiful piece! Great combination of material. I am curious. Do you have a picture of the blade?
  2. I think what we have here is a Purple Heart (Wounded In Battle) The bars are those of a Captain. The circles around each. Well I am thinking that is looks very similar to a Sioux symbol that some used to wear around their necks like a medallion. Hope that this is a bit more enlightening. Storm
  3. My dear Lord in heaven. What are you feeding these children in Utah? Well all I can say is if you have some youngens running around then you have the beginnings of one of the first families of leather. Arvis...you and J make about the best team I have seen since Al and Anne. Would that we were all blessed with a significant other in our lives that we could share our days with. Boy Howdy! You all better be showing more of your material on this site. Storm
  4. Well it seems that we have all tried and truely come up lacking with the perfect words to honor your fantastic piece. I can only say this and I mean it. If your material is not placed in the next Sheridan show and does not win hands down then I should just stop carving now. Thank you for sharing for I know I am better for it. Now I know why I joined this site. Good people, great artistry and great craftsmanship. You have not only carved a masterwork but incorporated it into a perfectly crafted and functional object. Storm
  5. J, I am totally in awe. One of the finest pieces I have seen in a long time. Sweeeeeet stuff. What anyone should work toward perfecting!!!!! Storm
  6. Very interesting pieces but did you not mean Vietnam and not WWII? That is the former flag of South Vietnam.
  7. Nicely done and thus proving out that it is only scrap if there is nothing that you can do with it. I think Jordan started a trend.
  8. Very sweet piece. Like to see exotics back on the table.

    first try at picture

Very nice work kiddo! Keep it up!
  10. The Wine wrap is a work in progress and the skull coaster was a test for a new pattern I created. The problem with so many Tandy cut out pieces is variation in type and quality of leather. One of these days when I can afford it I want to have my own dies and set up to cut them.
  11. I love your choice of materials and the crftsmanship that went into it all. Very clean. I especially liked the 30 year old python you picked up. Its history is enough to sell the piece. Storm
  12. Hey Spider, Love this one! I am willing to bet that your kids do not want for cool Halloween masks. HA!,
  13. Morning Jordan, I have made around a half dozen and sold four at $8 a piece already. Everybody loves them and they say that they make them laugh. LOL! I think you will have no problem selling yours. Besides you have more variations. Thanx again, Storm
  14. Currently I take the strap piece, which is one. I put either end in the two hol s and bring them out and put them through the larger hole in the front. On the underside I snip off the excess and then glue them down contact cement.
  15. YOU MAKE IT LOOK SO EASY. Great stuff!
  16. Hey Darryl, My next set I am trying to think about using Pear Shaders to do just that. LOL! This is a fun project and as of this morning I have sold three at $8 a pop. Everybody thinks that they look cute and funny. Makes people laugh. Storm
  17. Gave this to my friend this morning and he really like it.
  18. This was fun and a way to use the extra leather around the place. Sold one inadvertantly on the first day. I have a lot of fun coming up with how to make them. Maybe some miniature Huarachi Tire Sole Sandle using an old bike tire. HA! Thanks for the idea and inspiration Jordan Storm
  19. Tom, Love the bracer. Especially like the color combo. Sweet! Storm
  20. Hey Andy, Here is one approach: http://www.hollowtop.com/sandals.htm Storm
  21. I thought of that too Roo but with the twist of painting it with acrylics using a Day Of The Dead theme on the design. Celebrating The Day Of The Dead here in California is getting bigger and bigger every year. You can also find skulls(Plastic/Resin) on several sites on the web. Also it just came to me that using the same approach one could make a cool shrunken head mask or coin purse. Just sew the eyes and mouth shut. Put on some fake hair and badabing! Is it Halloween yet!?!? HA! Storm
  22. Ken,There are still places to get it here in Calfornia but they have changed a lot of it to Eco-Flow as far as Tandy is concerned.StormNicely done! That desrves a tight black and chrome ride. You can't go wrong with basic black and chrome
  23. The funny thing is that the more I look at your background on this piece the more I see the texture of ray skin. This was used in the handles of Japanese swords. Very cool effect! Storm
  24. A really superb piece of work. Beautiful work!!!! I am jealous.
  25. By means of explanation for those who are not aware. Tom...that does not include you. I mean you are the illustrated man. HA! Tattoo Flash is the black and white are created and used as a transfer prior to the tattooist going at it with the ink and needles. The Japanes Irazumi tattoos worn mainly by the Japanese Yakuza are some of the finest. Love those beautiful bottom feeders. HA!
