Hiya JBird! Welcome to the forum! And I can assure you of one thing, you have just joined some of the most talented people in the business. You will learn from different people, discover new techniques and ideas. And the best thing of all, everyone here is glad to offer help, now all you have to do is start asking those questions! Troy
  2. Try http://www.1001freefonts.com/western-fonts.htm ..... I'm sure you'll find what you're looking for .... best of all, it's FREE !!!!
  3. I like 'em! I Like 'em indeed! Keep up the good work bro!
  4. That is the coolest BG board I have ever seen. That project would be a PRIME CANDIDATE for multi colored antique stains. Saddle Tan & Timber Brown would be a nice contrasting combination but still leave it rustic looking... But, don't take my word for it, I'm kinda new to this ... Troy
  5. Welcome to the group! Nice looking work! Right, wrong or indifferent, it looks cool! Troy
  6. I just wanted to say that seat is cool! I love the shadowing of the letters! The design is simple on the eyes but very detailed in it's appeal! Man I look forward to seeing your next seats! I want to try doing a seat but don't know where to start. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I have dozens of questions in my head, just no one to ask ... Troy

  10. Just a quick note to say tha vest ROCKS! I'd say at least 100 hours in braiding alone! Hmmmmm, wonder how much a vest pattern costs?? Awesome work!
  11. I've ALWAYS bought my new boots, filled them with water, poured it out then walked as long as my feet could stand it. That broke in the boot and stretched it to fit my foot, then I would polish them with mink oil (4 or 5 coats) and that would make them soft as a baby's ! I'm no expert, but my feet are, and they told me to tell that story .... Troy
  12. Well, I'd like to say HELLO to everyone. I live in the extremely HOT & HUMID, Florida! I've only been playing with leather for about 3 months and and really enjoying it so far. I ride an '07 Yamaha Royal Star Deluxe and decided to get into leather when I started noticing that there wasn't really a market of accessories that didn't look like everyone else's accessories. So I have taken it upon myself to design leather accesories for the Yamaha Cruiser market. My first project was a Tank Bib (which you can see in the "Critique My Work" forum). My second project was a matching Fender Bib (which you can also see in the "Critique My Work" forum). I'm looking forward to many more hours of fun... Look forward to hearing from you all!
