Looks great! Is that a template you have made to keep straight lines for the weave? What a great idea! -
Custom Book Cover
DpMaquilon replied to JBryan's topic in Purses, Wallets, Belts and Miscellaneous Pocket Items
Looks great to me i really like your artwork! I made one for myself awhile back. I put pen/pencil pockets on mine along with a couple of slide pockets for bits of paper or whatever and it works out well I was gonna make it like you have and put both sides in a pocket but decided to make it a little different with a button closure and this has helped because I can add bigger sheets of paper I might be carrying around with me in there andstill keep it closed here are a couple of pics so you can see what I mean -
Looks like it may be too heavy when worn on the belt it might be prone to flop over especially after done wear time. Also after some time and wear the firearm may start to slide down further into the bottom hole of the holster just keep an eye on it. I like your mix and use of stamps looks pretty cool thanks for sharing.

Hey Rohn great looking holster what's the extra strap around the holster for? Is there just a belt loop on the back? Can we see a picture of the back? Thanks! -
If you are on mainland there is a kyoshin Elle store that sells fiebings and if you are in Okinawa I can point you in the right direction

The only thing to do is to try different mixes there isn't a right or wrong just depends on what color you want I usually dilute at least 50/50 and that seems like a good place to start

Yes left to right inside your stitch box where the knife will sit it's just to give a little room -
Cross draw sheath for Case Marlin Spike knife
DpMaquilon replied to ewayne53's topic in Patterns and Templates
I'm sure there is a pattern out there for a similar pocket knife but this would be easy enough for you to make your own pattern. just put the knife on a piece of paper and outline it then add 3/4 the thickness of the knife and there is your inside dimensions. next figure out the cant that you want and draw around it for belt loops. make one out of cardboard if you don't have any extra leather to play with. -
I'm not sure what type of pattern you have or leather you are using but I usually use a scratch awl

What did you put in the bottom for weight? -
Oh ok I see it now! Just had to look close because of the dark colors very nice! how did you attach the notebook did you cut a slit into the panel?
-
Looks great if you were to see the left panel only on the outside you could have a extra pocket for papers also!
