  1. The problem with the 211 is it doesn't use many of the standard screws for previous models (look @ the tap chart I attached) AFAIK the tap kit is NLA either just like most of the screws & many parts for a 211. page0096.pdf
  2. @Jama 211's are good machines BUT it is a re-designed 111W (which you can still buy all the parts for) they changed alot of parts & screws SO many small items like certain screws & other small parts will be hard to find since they've been discontinued yrs ago.
  3. @Leather144, The inner basket of the hook slid out of the position finger when it jammed up(very common problem) so take the black screw out of the position finger (chrome piece) turn the inner basket so the v-shape part is @ the top & line it up so the piece of metal sticking out @ the end of the finger is in the cut-out like in the pic.And oil the inner part of the hook every hour or so,Just one drop.
  4. You can buy belts @ a hardware store, auto parts, lawnmower, etc get it 3/8" wide by the length you measured.
  5. 29-4 Manual.pdf Singer_29K1,_K4,_K10_to_K18,_K21_to_K23,_K30_to_K33.pdf
  6. Most people use Nylon & a #22 will work or even a 23 BUT a #24 will make a big hole & won't look nice.
  7. The longer needle breaks easier & are harder to find(we stock them though) so they adjusted it for the more common 135x17 needle. This needlebar is hard chrome steel & very hard to tap,BUT I do have it in stock for $24.00 + shpg, call to order.
  8. This machine has some pretty aggressive feed dogs & since it doesn't have a walking foot to help feed it will probably leave alot of teeth marks on the bottomside.Take some of your samples over there & try it b4 you buy it & see if you can live with the marks.
  9. @Pinto They finally got back to me & they don't have one,I even looked on ebay & tried part #2510 for the 15 class re-pop machine & nothing!
  10. Sorry I didn't get back to you I'm waiting for someone to check their inventory & get back to me.
  11. It depends on the material some leathers are sticky & the stitch length will shorten & the flat foot will also have problems going over a seam where this will allow it to feed better.
  12. It's a roller foot put this on when sewing leather for more even stitches.
  13. This is a Chinese copy of a Singer 81-10 serger,3-spool auto-lube.Around 1995 here in the states YMC used to bring these in & they were not a quality machine this one might of been $95.00 cost for the head.
  14. @rac1812 Slightly loosen the 2 screws on the small hook gear & see if you can get the hook to lower,if it won't move down you could grind out the slot on the bottom of the needle plateTry to increase the size of the slot from front to back(grind on the front side) & try not to take any metal off of the top of the slot.
  15. @rac1812 When you 1st start sewing do you hold onto the needle thread for the 1st 3-stitches?
  16. Yes,they interchange, someone with a broken casting would be interested in the shell BUT it might take a while to sell it.
  17. We'll need more info like what stand, motor, reducer & a pic wouldn't hurt to see the condition.
  18. The 331 is similar to a 335 in the fact the feed dog doesn't lift the material off of the needle plate when it goes back. This creates alot of drag esp in sticky materials like vinyl & leather & will cause the length to shorten. You could have some worn feed parts, lift the foot up & push the needlebar front to back & try the feed dog too to see if there's any play. The 331 a needlefeed & looks like the 335.
  19. @WizcraftsIt will help your foot lift if you grind alittle off of the top of the foot(the comes in contact when the regulator is all the way down) so it doesn't hit the stitch regulator.
  20. He'll need a machine alot heavier than this one to sew tack, all this can sew as long as it's not dried out would be 5/16"
  21. As long as the Adler has the rubber timing belt it would be a better choice w/reverse & the handwheel is larger & it will run slower than the 211.And would sew 138 easier than the 211.
  22. Hey Bob ,I just got the samples you sent , they fit & work great!
  23. As chisel said get the tab of the bobbincase under the groove of the needle plate & also when you stop & want to pull out your material make sure the take up lever is all the way @ it's highest position.
  24. @Hickenbottom Are you sure the handwheel is turning towards you?
