  1. You have to apply the cement on both surface, let them dry and then put them together.
  2. Can you post some photos of the pieces? I since got a skiving machine and might be able to use these.
  3. One gorgeous solid bag. I can't image how many hours of labor went into it. Wonderful work!!!
  4. Thank you very much for your detailed explanation! I really appreciate it. I didn't know you could finish the exterior and then add on the lining. I usually line each piece and then assemble them. But I like your method as you could focus on finishing the important parts first and then lining.
  5. OMG...Such a beautiful bag. Perfect looking! Thank you for sharing your steps. I was amazed! Also, do you mind sharing the interior of the finished bag? I am still trying to learn the piping process and your process helps.
  6. I received the leather today. Beautiful hides with rich scrumptious colors. Love it. Thank you!!!
  7. I guess it depens on the type of leather and work. I still use fiebing for veg ran or thick/firm leather that could be burnished easily. For chrome tanned and softer/thinner leather I find it’s easier to finish using Giardini.
  8. Giardini is having Black Friday sale where most paint are at 35% off. If anyone wants to try out Giardini Paint, this is is a good time. http://www.leatheredgepaint.com/ Why you are at it, might as well submit a request for a Free Trial Pack. I got 1 trial pack and four 250ml bottle and the shipping to US came out to around 32 Euro. I have used Fiebing, Vernis, Fenice and Giardini Dense and I think Giardini has the best coverage.
  9. I just posted my review in another thread, but I'll repeat myself here :D I think Carriage thread is very good, however at the price of $24 per 100 meter I think it is not worth it. At that price range I would much prefer Chinois Lin Cable. Nevertheless I really like the feel of Carriage Thread just wish it was cheaper.
  10. I have used this thread and I have to say it's one of the better hand sewing thread. The thread is solid, not to waxy, hold up well with my pulling. In my opinion, it's comparable to the ever popular Chinois Lin Cable but at the price of $24/each for less than 100meter I think the Chinois Lin Cable is a better value.
  11. Great videos. Maybe you could start selling these modified roller feet? I just bought a new skiving machine and oh boy there are so much to learn...Thank you for posting this.
  12. Beautiful solid bag! Did you use a pattern or create your own? Also, may I ask what's weight is this leather? I always want to attempt something like this. Thank you for sharing!
  13. +1 Can you split down?
  14. Hello Jeff, Thank you for your reply. I got 404 error trying to access the photo. What's the weight of these, I saw you listed them as "heavy weight" and I want to make sure I can hand skive these down if needed. Do you do Paypal invoice? And do you have an estimate for shipping of 2-3 hides to 95130? Thanks again!
  15. Do you only sell by the lot? I'm interested in the following, but as a hobbyist i can only buy a few pieces, not a whole lot. If you do sell them by pieces (hide, half hide or by the square feet) can you let me know the price of the following?
