  1. So I used Super Sheen on my latest solo seat to seal it from the elements and the seat turned out a little more glossy then my test piece did and I was wondering if there was anything I could do to reduce the glossyness of it before I condition the seat or am I stuck with the glossy finish now?
  2. Great tip, thanks. I really think the leather being too wet when I did this was a big part of my problem.
  3. Thanks David for the reply. I usually use heavier leather on the seat bottom and will cut out less on future seats. I'll give it a try and see if I can get it back in place, thanks!
  4. OK, I need to know what I can possibly do to fix this. I tooled an inner edge on the piece of leather that I attached to my seat pan and it seems to have stretched out and I was wondering if I could possible shrink the leather back down some how or possibly could I glue the edge down to the seat pan and what type of adhesive I would use to do this. Here are a couple of pictures: Any help on how to fix this would be greatly appreciated.
  5. Very nice, I like it. The coloring is great!

  8. Thanks for the kind words! Troy no I can't make that trip, some year I will though. Sasquatch, I get my seat pans from Kevin Baas at Baas Metalcraft, you might have heard of him, he's the high school teacher up here in Minnesota that has the shop class that kids build choppers in, his website is http://www.baasmetalcraft.com/
  9. Just finished my latest motorcycle seat and thought I'd throw up a couple of pics. I made the tri-bar racing stripe run through the bottom of the seat in the same place as it does on the top.
  10. Nicely done! Another winner!! I like the coloring!
