Okay, how about a pattern for a dog muzzle?
frontpost replied to VonFuct's topic in Patterns and Templates
A crate is a box with a door to keep you dog in. When my dog was a pup I would let her stay inside with the door open, then shut the door. She got to the point where she felt safe inside. Now she can travel in the crate and she can't jump around, and cause me pains. -

Crate train the dog. -
I use Barbour's pure flax unwaxed thread, and wax it myself. Al Stohlman's book "The art of hand sewing leather" help my stitching.

Draw down strap, & finessing tool
frontpost replied to frontpost's topic in General Saddlery Discussion
I can work with that. I have 10/12 and everything lighter. Thanks, now to find some scrap 16 oz. -
I'm making the Stohlman draw down stand and have all the wood parts, but need a draw down strap 12/14 oz. 9 1/2" x 44". The problem is I don't have 12/14 oz. skirting leather. Is there anyone out there that could cut me a blank, I only do repair work now and may never need a back or side of 12/14 oz. Also I want to make a finessing tool and need a small scrap of 16 oz. this is on page 83 vol. 1 of the stohlman encyclopedia. the scrap needs to be hand size. This tool finishes saddle strings. Not asking for a hand out, just a going price plus shipping. Thanks, Tim

I had a lady that called who also needed her billets replaced on a Orthoflex. Did you use the rawhide centered billets, if so did you punch or or use an awl for the stitching. How hard was the job?

How long are the billets??
