  1. YOU are adorable.
  2. Nice job all around!. Thanks for sharing it.
  3. Nice design and excellent workmanship. Thanks for sharing!
  4. Is this any help?
  5. I purchased some kangaroo a couple of years ago and used it to make a ball cap. I noticed it was different than other hide I’ve worked with. I am a new leather worker. I’ve only been doing it for about 3 years so I am still very ‘OJT’ as I go. So much to learn!! What can you tell me about kangaroo? Why did you use it the way you did?
  6. I would cut after glueing. If I did cut prior to glueing it would be only one side. Which I did would be determined by the thickness of the leather pieces.
  7. It turned out wonderful. It fits the bike perfectly and looks like a quality bag. You’ll get many years use out of that. Nice job all around.
  8. This is looking nice. Looking forward to seeing the finished piece.
  9. I second that.
  10. Very nice work!! Thanks for sharing. Your tooling and staining/painting give me inspiration and that is always appreciated.
  11. Does anyone know of a good quality maker/supplier of hole punches that punch more than one hole at a time? Similar to the ones depicted here.
  12. That is why I had to make a pattern!! I would never had tried it without one. Punching all those holes and then lining them up to barge them together was a challenge, as well. But I finally came up with a solution that made that job very easy and I had no problems with any holes not being aligned. I just had to repurpose a few tools. On another note, which I need to start a conversation about, I am not happy with any of my leather punches. There must be quality leather punches out there somewhere!!
  13. Thank you! There are four layers in the handle section.
  14. This is a gift I made for my brother-in-law. I couldn't find a pattern out there for one like this so I made a pattern for it. This is my third production from that pattern. I think it's my favorite so far. It's 3-4 oz vegtan. I am still a beginner at dyeing and tooling. I hope I can keep this secret from him until Christmas!!
  15. That is a very nice piece. I bet he will be very proud to carry it. I certainly would be.
  16. Thank you for sharing. That’s very clever!!
  17. That is outrageous and I love it. I WILL be purchasing this pattern soon. Thank you for making it!!
  18. That’s a large project off to a good start. Looking forward to seeing the finished piece! Have fun.
  19. Thank you!
  20. Nice job!!
  21. Also new here and from Texas. Welcome. Your southwestern jewelry looks great.
  22. Thank you! Thank you! Thanks much!
  23. Thank you! I was worried about the eyes.
  24. Thank you! This was a practice piece that I added two eyelets on the top right and left corners so it can be hung like a picture. I am working on a second, similar piece that I added some text to. If it turns out decent I would like to hang it just outside my craft room.
  25. It turned out much better than I was expecting it to, as I was working on it. I almost gave up. Lots of room for improvement though, so I’m diving right back in for round two!
