Guys & gals today is my birthday, & I am another year younger. I put a whisper in a few ears, about what would be a really nice birthday gift. Well my sister hooked me up. With a Shaun Woodsum Damascus fringe knife. It looks like a sweet cutter. Can't wait to get it & try it out. Now I need his Luna knife & the half mod 2 knife.

Yes I can. The black swivel knife is a Owden with a 3/8hollow ground blade. I cut most of my straight lines with it. The Copper colored swivel knife is a ZhongJiang with a 1/4" hollow ground blade in it. I do most of my cutting with this knife. The Silver swivel knife is a Crafttool with a 1/4" angled ZhongJiang blade. I do my fine detail work with it.

I would say your presser foot got bent. I don't know that for sure. But that is my guess. I guess your needle bar could be slightly bent, but really doubt that.

Thanks. I appreciate your kind words. Yeah I dabble a bit in knife making too. Yeah my buddy has been showing that wallet to everybody he meets. I think he is tickled with it. Yeah my swivel knife work needs some more practice thou. I also know you really need to have multiple variations & types of swivel knife blades. Lol or at least I do. I got tired of swapping blades so I bought multiple different swivel knives to find a knife that fits me well. Thanks again for the encouragement.

Good work, takes time. 15 hours in a belt, I usually have more time than that.. It seems belts, wallets, knife sheaths, & holsters seem to be my money makers. Or should I say my hot sellers. It seems to me, that different leather items may be hot sellers in 1 area & not the next area. Like leather items are regional so to speak.

I have heard some of the well known professionals say. Just because 1 piece of leather dyes the way you want. Don't always expect another piece of leather to dye the same, even thou it was cut from the same hide. I think you might like the Preval sprayers. You can spray dye different effects & colors. I broke down & bought a cordless air brush for applying dye. I have only used it twice but really like it.

Looks awesome. Beautiful work. 100years from now somebody will really appreciate & admire the work that was put into this case.

I would like to see what that machine actually performs. Old iron there. Back when they made things to last.

It is a shoe & boot sole stitcher I believe. Used only for sewing/ stitching shoe & boot soles on with. I believe they had models A-L in the landis 12. & I believe the Model A was the first of the series/models.

Maybe a Pfaff 335 thread tensioner/ thread check could be retro fitted to this machine.

Thanks. I appreciate it. I watched that video here recently. Then went to a metal fab shop & purchased a 8ft section of 1½" stainless steel flat strap.

Thanks. Yeah I was going to hand cut a 10-12" wide strip out of the side of leather. Then run it thru the strap cutter for whatever given width I need.

Also a plastic handled long screw driver works good. Put the tip of the screwdriver on the suspect area & put you ear on the end of the plastic handle.

I'm not sure, I have not tried my saddle tan dye yet. I do dilute my dye at a 1:1 ratio, & have had good results at this thinning rate. The other color to look into is Spanish brown.

If you are looking for a caramel color, you might look into the colors Saddle Tan or British tan.

Looks nice. Outstanding work as always. Do you use a stitching groover for your sew line? Or possibly heat crease a stitch line? Or does the stitch just pull in that tight, due to the nappa padding leather when sewn? Thanks.

Looks good. You should design 1 that carries a hatchet & a fixed blade hunting/bushcraft knife. Nice work.

Not knowing what was originally used as sealer it is hard to recommend a product. I am fairly new at the leather stuff, only been at it for 8-10years. I would look at Satin Shene Or Fiebings leather balm. Somebody more knowledgeable might throw out a better recommendation.
