Members fallequinox Posted December 31, 2018 Members Report Posted December 31, 2018 This is my best one yet. After my last successful build, I felt confident enough to cut up some of the expensive hides I had stored. Here is to wrapping up 2018 with my first exotic build! Authentic Stingray inlay - Black OWB holster for the 1911 Happy New Year everyone! Quote

Working with stingray sucked! No kidding I really did not enjoy that. I ruined my french skiver and my leather scissors. I have more stingray in transit from the supplier but I will not touch it until someone actually wants something done with it and is willing to pay the price. More for the pain in the you-know-what that it is to work with it than anything else. Of course, when the project is complete, there is no comparison. It is absolutely gorgeous. I love the way this thing looks. 2 hours ago, SickMick said: Fantastic! Some lucky 1911 is going to be looking mighty fine in that regalia! Thank you sir! Thank you very much. Quote

Nothing like working with 36 grit sand paper, but the end product speaks for itself. Thanks for the response and the information. Quote

Members Vaelloc Posted January 4, 2019 Members Report Posted January 4, 2019 Now that is a work of art. Very nice. If you gonna work with stingray again invest in some tin snipping tool. Quote
