We have 240v in Oz and 415v 3 phase. @Northmount I have reported it but some nut job has totally trashed the site -
No I can't, technically, but in the 20 odd years that I have been doing leather, I have never been visited by the cops to check if I have bullet casings in my workshop nor have i had cops looking for bullet casings in my car. HS

@Sheilajeanne it was be a shame that so much was thrown away. A lot of it would be of value to other crafters, i would rather give stuff away than throw it away. My Mother's sewing room is exactly how she left it , messy ,but she knew where everything was, I rarely go in there perhaps for an occasional piece of material . @chuck123wapati I'm sure you can get your creative juices going to combine leather and clay , I reckon they will go well together. I had my first bbq in almost 3 years yesterday. I have a cheapie wood fired brazier that has a bbq plate . After a good clean and re-seasoned , I cooked up few lamb chops and a few snags, cooked up really well. My ye'olde gas bbq that i bought back in the mid 90's is really looking its age now rusty af. I did think about buying a newie, heaven forbid. There's only me a Dad, not worth buying a newie just for two of us. The oldie has cast iron burners and cast iron plates, quite rare these days. Just needs TLC HS -

My late Mother made and taught pottery for many years. Her work is everywhere around the house .The oldest piece was made in 1977, she named and dated most of her work. Apart from gas fired kilns, she also used a technique called 'raku' , a wood fired kiln . A lot of her tools, glazes etc.are still in one of our sheds, as well as her wheel. Have fun chuck, 👍 😁 -
@dikman I do have a few bullet casings that a friend gave me to use as templates, technically i'm not allowed to have those . I just hate 'flying blind " , as I call it , to make a custom item , I don't wish to deal with complaints later, I like to do things right the first time ,preferably . @fredk the customer lives to far away and I can only assume he has a licence . That's an issue we all come across , not having the item ,like the knife ,to make a custom sheath or case. The same issue I have atm for an order for a holster for a vintage revolver, a paper tracing of the revolver on a scrap piece of news paper just doesn't cut it, I need the revolver, but the gun laws here in Oz, say I can't have it . So good to hear chuck In between everything thats going on i'm still able to keep my "sanity" in tact by going into my workshop making stock etc. Only spending 3 -4 hrs each day . That's been my respite lately ,even got in the occasional roast , take care to you and yours, HS -

You know chuck , there is light at this seemingly endless tunnel . Dad had his op and now it's just a long road to recovery and I hope there's light at the end of yours . The whole month of June for me and dad is non stop med appts . For dad it's frequent dressing changes at our local hospital as well as other appts. I've had to bite my tongue a few times ,it does get quite 'testing' at times. Stress is not my friend. I am hoping that the month of July will see things calm down and I can have some sort of * cough* life . The long list of "round to it " jobs is getting even longer . I have finally figured out how to log on using a hand held device , I'm a complete dunce when it comes to technology . May the light shine bright 🌞 HS -

G'Day chuck, I'm still here. Haven't been on for quite a while. Lots of stuff happens, you know how it is : make plans, set intentions etc. plans go out the window: try to recommit to original plans, "ditto" Dad is doing ok, touchwood, he goes in to major hospital in Perth to have skin cancers removed next week , but under a local, not general, which is good because of his age . Over night stay. Some friends of mine, one is a nurse, may help with transport getting Dad to and from hospital. Major hospital is a major PITA to get in and out of. Hope you and yours are doing well HS -

G'Day, I am still here, same sh**t different day. It was Dads birthday on Friday 25th April, same day as our ANZAC Day in Oz. I treated ourselves to a nice roast Pork. ' Bavarian Pork Knuckles' . If you saw something large and bloated flying around with Goodyear printed on the side, it was me . They were sooooooooo dam tasty, crackle was delish +++, Dad doesn't like crackle, so I had his , of course. The left overs were just as delish too HS -

That is just so beautiful ' sob sniff' , very well made. HS -
I love old cars. I have 3 series 2 LWB Landrovers, they might start when you swear at them, and I also have a 1964 Triumph Herald Coupé, ""retirement plan"" . I have a grey 49 Massey Ferguson Tractor that needs finishing off and two E27 Petrol/kero Fordson Major tractors. One goes just fine, the other doesn't . What is retirement?? HS

@fredk Finally, after all this time, I have finally got around to actually doing these boots. They've been on my workshop floor all this time and I keep staring at them, " what the hell am I going to do with these boots?" and now I think I have a fair idea of what spikes are going where after looking at some examples online.. Its likely I'll be using them for a display/ advertising on my stall. The actual boots are worth quite a bit after checking the brand, " Demonia" , well, compared to what I paid for them . HS

We finally had some decent rains yesterday, thanks to a 'mini 'storm. Poor old Mother Earth is so parched from the extreme heat. Now I'll watch all the weeds grow. We're never happy I also indulged in some Kangaroo burgers yesterday too, damn tasty. Roo meat is so lean, good for those on low fat diets....like I should be HS -
Thats very interesting indeed , although I don't make boots myself. People do ask me if I make boots or shoes,as much as I'd like to, unfortunately I don't , I simply don't have the space and I would need to invest in a few machines etc. , not to mention years of practice. Even that boot in the pic looks quite nice HS
