spring flowers and good food

Yesterday, I was invited to run a short trail around my house. I call it the Fitsters Trail, since two very athletic sisters were the first to show it to me. It's not usable in warmer weather due to deep puddles, but now things are frozen! I only got the 4 lovely kilometers yesterday (with one of the sisters) but today I'm thinking I'll go around there again, and run the airport fence line all the way to the road. I've really missed winter (not to mention those sisters...been almost a year) Pic somewhat related. Ice road crossing back when we still had the 'Robertson Headframe' in our skyline. -
THAT'S a good practice I didn't think to do. Thanks, @PastorBob

can anybody please help me find this "sole trimmer"?

You probably get better help if you listed the manufacturer of the machine. kgg -
Thank you, @PastorBob. Clearing the cache may have completely solved the problem. Pages are loading faster now. I use Chrome on multiple devices and hadn't considered that the shared cache might be slowing them all for this site. Other sites that I frequent aren't showing a lag but maybe they will be even quicker now that I've cleaned up the cache.

I do like inlays. Something to try is skive down the edge (from the inside) around the inlay, so there is less of a lip.

I use Satin Sheen by itself or Super Sheen then knock it down with sheep's wool instead of steel wool. Seems to work well.

Hey everyone, I’ve been working on improving my leather braiding techniques, especially with kangaroo hide, and recently completed a brown–red 16-plait snake whip. I’m trying to refine tapering, plait symmetry, and handle reinforcement, and thought this community might have some experienced eyes for feedback. I’ve been studying different braiding methods, core building techniques, and how to get the cleanest transitions. If anyone here specializes in whip-making or braiding, I’d really appreciate advice or critique. I’ve shared more of my work and built on my profile as well. Thanks in advance — always learning!

@chuck123wapati as i am typing, I can see and hear a combine harvesting canola on the other side of my neighbours property. The whine of the turbo is quite audible its a ' New Holland ' I think . They've just turned the massive spot lights on, it's getting dark now. There's already been a few B double semis full of canola drive past my house . Quite a sight to see at this time of year The harvesting wont be finished until later tonight. Needless to say, I only use canola oil in all of my cooking 👍 HS -

This gooseneck may be a good replacement: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B014LR1BEQ You can put whatever bulb you want in it. I've been using these, but are NOT bright enough: https://www.amazon.com/Machine-Magnetic-Flexible-Silicone-Workbench/dp/B0FJ7KW154

3 years ago, I took this machine to a technician and he did a horrendous job, he even broke the revolving bush handle somehow. he also had the audacity to use something similar to J-B Weld Plastic Bonder to replicate the tip of the needle bar. needless to say it completely shattered the first time I used the machine. he also used a hose clamp as a stitch regulator. at the time I just gave up on this machine because I already had a singer 29k and didn't need another one, now I do need it but can't find parts for it anywhere. can anybody please help me? AFAIK I need a bobbin case, stitch regulator, revolving bush handle and that tip of the needle bar where you put the needle in, I have no idea how it's called.

I don't know the correct name of this part in english but I need to replace it and I can't find anybody that sells it in my country so I'm looking to buy it online from the US, europe or china. can't google it because I don't know how it's called. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/380810963466 This is what I've found but I need number 5, not 7.

Thanks KillDevilBill. The client decided to just go with a simple notebook cover for now since he couldn’t decide on the size of the folio to hold his everyday items! lol But I'd still like to make a pen case(s). Are you thinking to make one too?

You scratched an itch dikman, well done.

Tried a window/reveal/inside edge. Not sure I'm getting enough out of it to try again, though I do like the layered/windowed look (applique?)

Thanks for the kind words folks.

Leave it with a natural finish, use a good outdoor boot dressing like Fiebings golden mink oil or some such. That's all I ever use on my holsters.

Outstanding! That hammer now starts life anew. That's some beautiful work.

You can use a VFD (variable frequency drive) to convert single phase to 3 phase.
