Motorcycles and Biker Gear
Not all saddlebags are on horses! Bikers like quality gear they can depend on, and making and maintaining hard used leather is a challenge to any leatherworker. Show off your work! Teach the world how leatherworkers make bikes beautiful.

Someone gave me a leather piece that goes around a bar on the rack of his ultra trunk that holds his whip antennas down when pulling in his garage, instead of letting them hit the garage door. (I hope that made sense) I was going to make more and was using that as a pattern. Unfortunately my husband may have thrown it out. Does anyone have an idea of what I mean or seen anything similar? I was trying to source the latch,.it's not a snap. Thank you so much

My brother in law helped someone buy a motorcycle and told him I do leather work and I might be able to fix his saddlebags. The pastor works with people in bikers in recovery so depending how bad the bags were I could do it. I decided not to charge him because he dosen't have a lot of resources and especially because he bought the same bike I have (Yamaha V Star). The bags are pretty cheap genuine leather, probably in the $100 range. Some of the seams have begun to come apart, the rivets are either pulled through the leather or completey rusted, some of the conchos are missing and the tassels are ripped off. On the back, the leather for the tie offs were so thin…

Greetings looking for any feedback or thoughts I made this set a couple of months ago for a buddy of mine. The pocket watch was almost 1" thick, I wrapped it in leather and then made this holder for it on his tank it replaced a busted dash piece on his bike. I really like the seat it turned out pretty cool and I used chrome tanned bison from Tandy and it didn't seem as slick as other leathers I worked with so I thought it would be help keep him in the saddle! thanks for any feedback, I'm pretty novice but am trying and learning. Regards, Darrin
