There's a chap on the Bushcraft UK forums who goes by the handle of "Kerne" makes them - you send hima JPEG of your design, and his magic machine carves out of a hard plastic. He's a teacher, and he has the machine at hios school, so you need to catch him at the right time!

  10. howdy fellow crafters, I've got a snakeskin from my dad a while ago. Due to the fact the snakeskin was rolled up into a bundle for a while, the skin was like perchement. Is there a way to bring some life back into this skin, so I can use it for an inlay for a sheath for dad's knife? cheers, Gunter

That happens to all of us at one time or an at o at one time or another. What I try to do is just go to the shop and start something...anything, until I forget that I temporarily loist the spark. Pretty soon you'll be back at it.

Something that works for me is to pick the most fun, most challenging idea and strike at it first. You won't lose the burn-out by working on something tedious!

  19. bobg, you're welcome, that's why this forum's for, no? I found this site, and maybe it'll help too , http://www.chicagoscrews.com/products.php?catalog=us&category=7 cheers, Gunter
  20. I find it ashaùe that soùmeone steals an idea from someone else with althering anything or even making a personal change, no ethic to and for the craft at all. What do you charge for a burnisher anyway? I'll need one in the future. Gunter PS u got my support.
  21. Woooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooow
  22. Hey Bobg, As you more of us are been looking for this item, I bet. If you know someone that is handy as a metal worker, maybe he/she could make the swivel in copper or brass. If you know your way around a "bench (a machine with a claw that turns-don't know the correct word, english isn't my native tongue " then you can make these swivels as they should be. Myself, I am waiting for the patternpack of Will to come out ;-). Maybe you should contact the US Army for details on the swivel, maybe they can help, If so,keep us posted. I'll hear around my neck of the woods. cheers, happy newyear and keep on tooling. Gunter
  23. thanks for the replies !!! yes this is one of the books I've been looking for for a long time, to putt into my pattern collection. unfortunatly the ones I want are expensive , lol.
