Very nice. Thanks for sharing with us! Happy New Year! -
and save lots of bruises and blisters....not to mention the %^&*^$$# words that I might have used. Thanks everyone. I've never seen them hand stitched either ...... and now I know why. Any recommendations for a machine that will sew both leather (all sizes) and the coated webbing?

Christmas Chinks for my Wife

I think they look great. Did you hand sew them or use a machine? Is she going to wear them on one of the snowboards? :-D -
David, you are a true craftsman!! Those are incredible!! Keep us posted on the others.
-
Maybe you could post them here. It appears that there are several of us interested.

Thanks guys. A machine is on my wishlist for next year, but I was hoping someone had tried sewing by hand. I'm going to give it a try and see how it goes.

Bump. Nobody has sewn the coated webbing with a machine or by hand?
-
I was wondering if anyone has sewn Biothane, or other coated webbing (Ohiothane, Brahma Webb) by hand? If so, what kind of needle and thread did you use?
-
That looks great!!! I hope you do post another pic when it's finished. I would like to see it.

Thanks. I guess I won't know which one I like best until I try it, but I thought I would see what the "experienced" used. I appreciate your input. Tom -
Saddle and Tack leather care

I've used the paste soaps. I used the yellow paste on light colored leather, luckily it wasn't for anyone. It darkened it a little. -
I've seen some really nice ones too. I was hoping that someone would share their "custom" plans or maybe sell the plans for it. Tom

That was one in particular that I was looking for!! Thanks. I will email you a picture when I make it. It should be sometime early this winter. If you get it made before me, please email me a pic. Tom

I'm looking for plans to build a stitching horse. I know there are a couple out there, maybe even some "custom" ones. I have the one in the hand stitching book by Al Stohlman. Thanks.

Hi Bill, Checking in to see if you still have any left? Thanks. Tom -
Do you still have the pony and what would you want for it? I really don't think I have anything to swap right now.

I've really enjoyed reading some of the threads. Everyone here is really helpful. I'm really glad I found this site.

Hi everyone. I'm new to the forum and pretty new to leatherworking. I'm looking forward to learning from everyone here. Leatherworking is not my daily job, but hopefully one day it will. I would like to learn more about making horse tack (saddles, bridles, harnesses, etc). I am an avid hobby woodworker and hoping to combine that with leatherwork. Maybe making some wooden and leather furniture. We'll see what happens.

Are there pictures available for these machines?
