    Those are very nice Mark. Would post a pic of the other side of the spur straps? I'm getting ready to attempt my first set. I really like all the ones I've seen of yours.

    I'm curious about this one too. You may have to call a silversmith and have them custom made. There are some silversmiths that have had some great reviews on here. Tom

    I like them! As soon as my wife sees them, she will want a set to show in. Where did you get the basket stamp with the star? What type of paint did you use?

    How come I can't ever seem to find deals like this? Make sure you post some pics of your belts!

    I've found that a 3lb or bigger rawhide maul works really well for punches like this. The experienced folks might use something else. I've tried the small poly head mallet and it didn't have enough weight to it. Tom

    Very cool Spider. That looks awesome. I'm envious of the backgrounding. That is something I'm having trouble mastering. What backgrounding tool did you use?

    Thanks King. Sometimes it looks better than others. I definitely need to practice! The good thing is I really like it, so more practice equals more fun. :-)

    Thanks Clay. I appreciate the advice. There were a lot of things I would have done different after I finished it and "looking back" at it. I'll look for the matting tool too.

    Thanks everyone. I followed the suggestions and let the leather dry more. It helped a LOT. Thanks again. Now its just practice, practice, practice.

    I haven't taken any pics of it, I should just for purposes like this. I'll try it when it's dryer. I was wetting it more. Thanks for the help.
