  1. No responses so I am archiving this thread
  2. Each to their own, but if we keep stuff under the correct forums, it is much easier to find and to keep up with content that we are interested in. Else you may as well pile everything into one area like I see a lot of peoples' desks. Guess that is the way their mind works. I won't be moving this thread.
  3. I made it on a little metal turning lathe that I have.
  4. How do I do that is wide open territory. Not the place I would go to find info on holsters and gun belts. It's where it belongs.
  5. @Kyra hasn't been around since Oct 20. But maybe she'll respond to being tagged.
  6. @Kyra hasn't been on this site since Oct 20. Maybe she will respond to being tagged.
  7. @Joe0630 and @mike02130 Did you notice that this thread is old, 2016?
  8. To stop verdigris you have to keep it dry. If you look up the chemistry, you'll find it contains H2O. So how do you keep a belt or other items worn on the body and especially sweaty, hot, humid conditions? That's really the problem you have to sort out.
  9. As always, nice job and fresh ideas!
  10. Just add onto this thread with your new info or requirements.
  11. Moved to leather sewing machines so all the sewing machine fellows can see and appreciate your work.
  12. You should also recognize that the slower the induction motor goes, the lower the torque. And as the speed is reduced, so is the motor cooling. If you don't have experience with sewing leather, you will find that you are likely to want to go to lower speeds than your VFD will run the motor at. At that low a speed, you are likely to let the smoke out.
  13. Moved to Leather Sewing Machines. You'll get more help here.
  14. Photos should include front, rear and left (needle) end for best results. You may have to reduce the file sizes to post them here. Help with that is in this thread
  15. Moved to Leather Sewing Machines.
  16. And you need a vegetable tanned leather for tooling. When properly moistened (cased), veg tan is very sensitive to impressions, even to your fingernails!
  17. Moved your post to saddle restoration and repair. You should also check this forum for the info you are asking for.
  18. @LangDog You have people interested in your press. You should be checking back frequently if you want to sell. You should also post your location so we know whether you on the moon or mars. This is a global forum. It's a good idea to put your location in your profile too.
