A buddy of mine calls me last Tuesday and says he's sending a seat pan for a bike he's putting in a show early next month. The artwork is with it and he needs it back by next Friday at the latest. I received it on Thursday and shipped it back to him yesterday afternoon. The last seat I covered for him was for a BSA he built and it won the semi-pro class at this show 2 years ago.He was invited to the Top 50 Builders show at Sturgis last year.

Man's Wrist Bag
bustedlifter replied to bevo's topic in Purses, Wallets, Belts and Miscellaneous Pocket Items
Yeah, nice, but what is a man's wrist bag? -
How about Nashville Pussy's " Fried Chicken and Coffee"? I had one of those built in carafe coffee makers that has the little dispenser you put your cup under and it was ok. The wife and I found an old Black and Decker percolator at the Home Works store for 3 dollars and that is the maker of choice for us.

Neat-o! Great work. Looks like the tooling " baptism by fire" worked out just fine.

Yeah, he plays in a blues band, I think it could help out a bit if there's a barroom brawl!

Thanks, I'll post some completed pics after the "customer" receives it. We're trading work. This is my first attempt at something like this. I made the frame from 18 ga. steel, bent it ,drilled some holes in it and welded in some dividers and 16 ga. sides. It then received some wrinkle black powder coat. A couple of the designs were drawn by the customer, this cat used to air brush t-shirts for Ed Roth back in the '90's.

Thanks for the tip,I'll try it out!

I like using ordinary things on projects. The pen in the border is a great idea. I used to use carbon paper to transfer patterns onto leather. The black added some shading along the cuts although it was a bit messy and I think the residue contributed to the blade getting dull. I wonder how the sharpies would hold up on something like a seat?

Yes, welcome and nice work. Mac's rule!

Nice looking work, welcome to the board! Lots of cool stuff on here.

Yowza! Looking good! I dig a chick in leather.

Neato, it really pops! The only drawback could be that people get lost looking at the holder and forget to take a card.
-
X-1 ? that stuff's getting as rare as hen's teeth or frog hair.
-
Actually this seat has an innertube in it.

Looks good, and I'm not even that crazy about skulls. Interesting art work there, you pulled it off ,nicely.
-
I like it, a lot. You have a different style that I think is el neato.

The customer received this yesterday so I wanted to post a pic. I think I would like a new camera as this one leaves something to be desired, oh well.
