  1. Thanks freak. Just some Fiebing's antique over some oil then I wipe it off and take the excess out of the crevices. For the finish I use Aussie conditioner but I want to try some Sno Seal down the road. It changes color after it's been in the sun for awhile but I think it looks cool.
  2. Very neat-o! Good job,Mike, post some more.
  3. Kooowell! I like the way you made the 8 look like a chain link.
  4. Does it make the item slick? I use the Aussie stuff and the surface isn't slick. I'd take a little less waterproofing over sliding off the back of a seat when you twist the throttle, anyday.
  5. Looks great! I like the different textures in the background, el neatio!
  6. Thanks! I have a job coming up to make a seat for my best customer's wife's bike.Thinking I 'll do a tutorial on making a seat with an innertube. Hopefully it won't be the equivalent of receiving a letter from the IRS.
  7. The first of three(hopefully) on their way to a shop in Aruba. No tube this time, just two layers of what was left of my wife's yoga mat. He says he likes them thin.
  8. Here, check it out. If you have any questions just send a message and I'll answer them. The tube is a200/50 from a Razor scooter.
  9. Jordan, the cool factor on those are waaayyy high! They remind me of the foot gas pedals that Mooneyes sell.
  10. Do you have a Mac? There aren't many viruses that affect them.
  11. I called them last Friday and they said they would ship it out on Monday. I received it yesterday(Friday). California to the Peoples Republic of Illinios in 4 days and at a great price ,too! They were very helpful and friendly. A very delightful experience and I will do business with them again!
  12. I agree with the " won't be satisfied until you know for yourself" statement 100%. As far as starting cars by winding them up,I kind of resemble that remark as my motorcyle is kick only.
  13. Outstanding! Thanks for the tip. I'll have to break out the file set and get busy.
  14. I think I stirred up the pot a bit, kind of like Ford vs. Chevy. At any rate, I spent quite a bit of money on quality tools but I've also seen some good mechanics use some tools of lesser quality. David Genadek mentioned someone who turned out great work with a sharpened screwdriver. Very cool!
  15. My knives are almost 40 year old Tandy swivel knives and the cheap hollow ground made in japan blade does the bulk of my carving.I would like to try an expensive knife someday but then again I've heard a good mechanic doesn't blame his tools.
  16. Very nice work! I like the leather wrapped rings, it's a cool detail.
  17. They make some bags for Harley not to far from where I live in fabulous Homer, IL. Those V-Rods are a little too new for me, I prefer the shovels and older ones.
  18. Looks good, kind of like riding a bicycle. Is that a V-Rod I see ?
  19. Looks super! Which one was Peter's again?
  20. Special order.. you want it when?!?!
