  5. Waiting for some leather so I decided to mess around with some scraps.
  6. I use Tandy swivel knives that are at least 25 years old,one I have is from my dad and it's close to 40 years old. The blade I think has been working best for me, lately, is a cheap hollow ground 1/4" Made in Japan blade from Tandy! I recently ordered my first Barry King beveler and am waiting for it to come in. Will it make an actual difference, or will it just seem that way?
  7. Sometimes I think I'm not qualified to comment , but that is Outstanding work!
  8. That's cool, but I really like the way it looks natural.
  9. Great work! What oz. leather are those taps? As for pics of the chaps, find a hot chick and have her wear just the chaps! Sales would go through the roof.

  12. Thanks, the character is still around today especially on The Jalopy Journal website. Every friday they have an art show on the H.A.M.B. which is their message board the hokey ass message board. Thank you. Yes, the valve sticks out of the bottom of the seat. I usually run between 2-4 psi in them, very comfortable especially on a rigid frame bike.
  13. Fink seat 16ga. powdercoated pan with a 3/16" rib, sliding front mount bolts and an innertube from a Razor scooter for padding.
  14. I like using leather glow to accent tooling. Is there something that can be mixed with it to darken up the leather a bit or to give it a different color? Any tips or suggestions are greatly appreciated.
  15. Thanks, checked out your site, very cool stuff, but on Safari the pics didn't work very well.I'll try netscape next time.
  16. I did some leatherwork years ago when my father taught me. I started back into it about 2 years ago doing mostly motorcycle related items: seats , kidney belts, tool bags etc. It looks like there's a LOT of good information on here. I make my own seat pans and use scooter innertubes for padding. There's some outstanding work on this board , here's some of what I do..
